Close To Everything Yet Very Intimate And Private, Great Surfing And Fishing

Contact owner for repeat guest discounts. Newly renovated - 40" Smart HDTV's in each bedroom and a great big 65" in the living room each with Satellite/Cable programming & complimentary Smart TV streaming on-demand premium content including complimentary Netflix, HBO Go, and much more. 4 bedroom, 3 bath, oceanfront, 2 kings, queen, 2 bunk beds, Jacuzzi tub in downstairs master suite, high speed internet access, outside enclosed shower, pet friendly. Ocean views from every bedroom! Come once and you will be 'hooked'. We offer discounts for repeat/honored guests. We are offering $50 off our normal $200 per pet fee this year.

We are advertising sleeps 12 however we recommend 10. You CAN sleep 12 in beds if 6 are children. the extra 2 children would go (1) on a sleeper sofa (twin bed) in the queen bedroom and share a double size bed in the bunk room. We do have dining space for 12 or more with the cafe style table in the living room and the pop-up coffee table.

We found this location perfect! Location was great & right on the beach. Home was spacious & all bedrooms opened on to deck with ocean views. Perfect two weeks!

Phenomenal location!

This house is located right on the beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house and deck sure take a beating from the wind and rain, and I can appreciate how difficult it must be to keep up with keeping everything fresh. With that being said, the deck, deck furniture and steps over the dunes could use some freshening. But those views! The rooms inside were as described and, frankly, this house is huge! We were able to accommodate everyone comfortably. Each had a room on the lower level with a sliding glass door that opens to the deck and faces the ocean. We opted to stay in the only bedroom on the top floor, where the kitchen and living room are located. The ocean views were spectacular from that floor! Overall, the house is nice but I would say the pictures were likely taken some time ago. The furniture is definitely more worn than depicted in the pictures. The house could use a deep clean. There is plenty of parking with two cars fitting under the house and a huge driveway remaining. There’s an outdoor shower, which hardware also could use a little freshening up. There’s plenty of room to lock up bikes under the house and out of the elements. There’s a small room as you enter the house with beach chairs, boogie boards etc. April is a great time to come as It wasn’t overly crowded, and the weather was quite nice! The owner lives nextdoor. Friendly and attentive but Not cool when he showed up without warning to hose off the deck!

My family and I loved this house ! We had a hot water issue and the owner, John was amazing! He had someone out within 30 mins of letting him know and it was fixed quickly. I would highly recommend this property !

Family vacation

We loved being so close to town, that we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. The gathering spaces were large enough for all of us. Loved having a covered deck and the high chairs were perfect for seeing the ocean. Great vacation!!

We love this place!

This is our second time staying at this property. Location is walkable to most of downtown Surf City restaurants and shops. Close to the bridge for easy travel if you need to leave the island. House is very clean and owner John is very helpful and responsive. Beds are comfy and you have just about anything you need to cook in the kitchen. 5 stars!

Property was great. All pots, pans, plates and silverware were in abundance of what we needed. Manager was very attentive to all of our needs and got back to us very quickly. Would recommend this house and Manager to anyone looking to stay here. Also house was centrally located to Surf City so we walked everywhere.

Great house and location

Great house with everything you could want. Fully stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable beds, great family area, and outside sitting area has covered and open decks. We had plenty of toys to keep the kids happy and puzzles to keep the adults happy too. TV in the family area is large enough for all to see and easy to navigate. You are very close to our favorite takeout, Shako Taco and within walking distance of everything you could want or need. The owner is very responsive. I guess you can tell that I highly recommend this house for your vacation! Have fun!

What a House! What a Trip!

What a wonderful house this is! It is so cute, has plenty of space, is clean, and very comfortable. Everyone could spread out. We've stayed in units before that advertise it sleeps 8 or 10 or 12 or whatever but only has seating for 6 max in the living space. The kitchen is very well stocked. Not here! Plenty of seating space for everyone. The location can't be beat - close to everything and within walking distance to so much. And the view is stunning. John, the host was very helpful and answered all questions in a timely manner. We will definately be back!!

Great beach getaway

This house is a gem Surf City. The layout was very conducive to a large family gathering. The seating was comfortable along with the beds. Access to the beach could not be beat along with the views from the top deck. It is within walking distance to so much along with the small market IGA we did not have to move the car. We plan to return.

A perfect family beach house

We had a wonderful stay at the house! Check in was very easy, the house was clean and ready for us and as pictured. The location is ideal with almost everything in walking distance. We did drive to go to the Karen Beasley Turtle Hospital for an afternoon with the kids. We absolutely loved Surf City and our house on the beach!

Convenient to so much!

We had a wonderful time. Each year my sister and I plan a family vacation and this was one of our favorite places to stay. Coffee shops, stores, restaurants very close to the property. John was great to work with and easy to get in touch with. The property was clean and well laid out! We would certainly stay again!!!

Beautiful views, great location

The house was beautiful and everything that it needed to be. Great views, comfortable beds, clean furniture, well equipped kitchen. There was an incredible amount of steps to go up and down so It might not be a good fit for someone who has a difficult time with stairs. The house does not come with sheets, which was in the rental agreement. We forgot however as we had read the rental agreement a year ago. Whoops! Not the owners fault but maybe something that renter should be reminded of prior to the visit. Owner was very responsive and friendly.

Right on the beach and close enough downtown that the teens could walk

With the key pad we could check in anytime. Other times we had to be there before a property manager office closed Also the key pad allowed everyone access without having to have a key. The smart tv’s in every room helped give us all alone time.

Great location!

In walking distance to pier, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and gift shops. But beach front was not crowded at all. House was a bit more worn than perhaps pictures suggest and like many beach houses the kitchen appliances and tools had served many families! The owner was helpful and gracious.

Great Location!!

John ( the owner) was easy to get ahold of and so responsive with any questions or issues we had. We rented this property for 6 weeks and we had no issues while we were there. It is not a new property, so there is some normal wear and tear, but overall it was very comfortable! The view and access to the beach is wonderful! And having all the restaurants and stores nearby is a real bonus! We loved being so close to Wilmington as well.

Perfect location

I enjoyed staying at “Comes a time.” It is situated in a perfect location to enjoy all of the local goings-on in Surf City. The house has a great layout and the top floor an open plan to accommodate plenty of people. There is ample storage space, a large deck that is covered, and direct access to the beach. All of these things make for a convenient, easy vacation.. I recommend this property for anyone wanting to enjoy a beach stay.

Comes a Time ... to leave your shoes behind

Our family had a wonderful time. The simplest manner in which to say this is that, after an initial grocery store run, I went many days then realized I hadn't worn shoes - around the house, walking on the beach, etc. Leave your shoes and your worries behind.
