Feel the ocean air and hear the waves crashing as you let Maui sink in. Enjoy the rare wrap around oversized lanai with awe-inspiring views. Lots and lots to see, including turtles, rainbows and whales (during whale season). The place is very bright and beautiful. There's shopping within a 10 minute walk, which has a coffee shop, farmers market, and Boss Frog's to rent snorkel gear, etc. Includes a great pool and other amenities along with free parking. This complex does NOT have A/C. COVID-19 Cleaning Protocol: Our cleaning company has taken extra care to update their cleaning protocols to ensure the condo has been properly sterilized for your health. Although we are following recommendations from the CDC and various booking sites, as well as using EPA approved cleaning products per clean, we cannot guarantee that 100% of bacteria and viruses has been eliminated in the unit. Our cancelation policy will remain strict and cancelations requested will only be approved if there is a Dr. note stating someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19. The Unit: The views of the ocean from the 3rd floor are surreal. The depth of color changes at that height are amazing, at only 15 feet from the waters edge. Let the crash of the waves lull you to sleep at night. You feel like you are on the beach while you fall asleep. The complex is a concrete structure and the unit is an end unit. This allows for great privacy. Freshly painted, new carpet, new appliances, new furniture, new fans, new vanities, and new accessories, this unit is ready to be appreciated and experienced. It's a great place to take in a slow morning or enjoy a great meal at sunset after a day of hiking, driving, biking, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, or just crashing on a beach. There is no A/C in the complex, however, with the afternoon trade winds and fans throughout, the sea breeze feels most inviting. Enjoy your time here and put your feet up. You'll have access to the entire unit with the exception of the owners maintenance closet. I am always available by phone or text and am available when needed on that basis. There are several condo complexes in the neighborhood. Most are individually owned units but there are some that are timeshares. It is a very active neighborhood in the mornings. You will always find people walking or jogging on Lower Road. People are typically pretty friendly because they're mostly all on vacation or retired and enjoying the day in paradise. Across the street from the small shopping center mentioned in the header is a public beach park. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee or a picnic. Public transit is available but renting a car on Maui is the best way to get around. One of the best snorkeling spots on the island is about 10 minutes north on Lower Road. It's Kapalua Bay. Parking can be difficult so either get there early or plan to park and walk in. Kapalua Bay is listed as one of the top snorkeling spots in the United States. Whaler's Village is about 10 minutes south on the Piilani highway. Whaler's Village has great stores and restaurants and gives access to the famed Kaanapali Beach. Just a short couple minutes drive from the condo is Duke's restaurant at the Honua Kai. This is a private complex with a nice community feel to it. The complex is strictly 'NO SMOKING' of ANY kind and 'NO PETS'. Further details in 'house rules'. All condo association rules must be adhered to. There are two laundry rooms available on the 2nd and 3rd floors. A parking pass is provided. Only one car space allotted per unit. There is no A/C in the unit but we have found (in our opinion) with the unit's proximity to the water and the trade winds that traditionally blow year round (acting as natural air conditioning), one really is not needed. There is a beach that can be accessed two complexes over from Hale Ono Loa. Ask around to gain access to it or ask Donette. It's a fun spot to play in the water and sometimes you will even come across the occasional sunbathing turtle who has chosen to come up on the beach for a nap. There are stairs that can take you directly into the water at the oceanside of the complex. Depending on the conditions of the day, there is great snorkeling with turtles right out front. It is a big ocean so please be safe and don't over do it. We'd like for you to come back again.
