“I always want to give everything at Tilford 5 stars because it's our go-to choice when it comes to a long weekend away. Fully appreciative of the fact that there's a cost of living crisis at the moment, there were a few little 'Tilford differences' missing this year. No extra pillows or linen in the lodge, a much reduced tea/coffee selection, no biscuits, no milk in the fridge, a much reduced selection in the shop, everything felt a little bit ''just enough''. “What an amazingly placed site, such a picturesque place. It’s like a scene from a Christmas movie. The lodge itself was beautiful, clean and modern. Very, very warm inside. Having a hot tub in a secluded, sheltered decked area just outside your bedroom is just bliss, not to mention the sauna you can enter from your bedroom’s en-suite - heaven!Can’t believe we didn’t find this place sooner. Definitely coming back again.”

“We needed a quiet and comfortable place to stay as were coming to Lewes for my dad’s funeral. The house was perfect - beautifully arranged and attentively styled, and hugely homely - like a comforting hug. We wanted boiled eggs for breakfast and there were no egg cups so we bought three in town and left as a gift. A small microwave would be a useful addition to the kitchen.”
