「Although there was an issue with my booking on arrival (I had a confirmation but it hadn’t been received by the hotel), they were great about it and didn’t hesitate to get me a room organised. I was a late arrival and the kitchen had closed but again the team sorted me something to eat. The room was great and breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommended!」

「I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. 「After a very tiring walk across the moors. the Tan Hill offered a very welcoming sight. Even better was the ambience inside, with a very welcoming and helpful host. The bedroom was tastefully decorated with a massive bed and lovely shower room. Needing a hearty meal the 3 of us were delighted with melt in the mouth cooked to perfection steak and chicken pies and a giant Yorkshire boeuf bourgignon. We will be back !」

「Room was compact but comfortable, the bed especially comfortable. Best in room coffee ever! TV was impossible to sort out, HUGE but useless. A leak from toilet cabinet meant floor was wet most of the time, and was reported to manager, I'm sure it'll be fixed for next people. Pub is oozing with atmosphere, food is excellent. Staff are great. Somebody could pick up litter outside once in a while to improve the look.」

「It is impossible to overstate the standard of the Wensleydale Heifer. The awards affirm the restaurant quality and the standard of accommodation. What they do not evidence is the attention to detail that every member of staff personifies. This is the first opportunity we have had to stay at the Heifer, although we have eaten here before. The hotel was everything we hoped for and will become our "go to" place in the Dales. Thank you for a memorable stay!」

「Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back」

The accommodations were very nice and the king room was so cozy. The bed slept great and had everything we needed.
