Overall, the property itself was fine. The mngmnt co. was difficult and very intrusive into the reasons for our stay. Starting with the booking as soon as I booked the property. I immediately received an email, text messages from GoldNest, which required information as to why I was coming, the purposes, the parties traveling with me, etc. This seemed invasive and uncomfortable to the point that our vacation became something we were dreading.While I understand the desire to have limited issues from guests, as owners of rental properties for both long term and short term stays the repeated confirmations and verifications made a trip to see our elderly mother & family members become increasingly stressful. While there are stories of guests & homes this seem to have over corrected. In addition to an overpriced stay for the home. Issues in home. Outside string lights do not work as shown in listing. Front left burner not working - Fire Hazard Cigarette burn in throw pillow on the couch No kitchen towels.Pool not maintained & dirty Back door has gap of over an 1” allowing insects, dirt & debris into house. Transition between dining room and living room should be marked (tripping hazard)..Curtains in dining room are not in studs or reinforced when opening the curtains the curtain rods shift and feel like they will fall off the wall.Gas shutoff outdoor kitchen not marked, the refrigerator not working & overall dirty and maintained. Chips in paint throughout the house.
