“This was the best stay I've ever had in Grand Marais, and I will be making it my go-to for future solo (with dog) retreats up north. One word sums up the Studio: COZY. I came in winter, and that's what I needed. Lynn did everything to make this spacious studio cozy, even turning up the water heater so that the faucets produced very hot water when it was subzero outside! The overhead track lighting in the Studio made the space warm and inviting throughout. I will stay in the summer too to enjoy……

“The Mökki cabin was a breath of air and a wonderful getaway. Bathing in the sauna was unexpectedly refreshing, be sure to keep the sauna steamy while you wash up! The cabin is a stroll away from the historic Hovland dock which is great for fishing or watching the sunset. Will definitely be back!”

“Very nice, newly renovated apartment just a few blocks from the harbor. Very clean. New Paint. Neat, unusual rough sawn log wall in Dining room. Only issues were: No BUILDING # 20 outside that we could see and no exterior photo of building front so hard to make sure we were at the right place and no #2 Unit # on the door as stated. No ice, no ice cube trays to make any either. Very limited supplies. Only 1 roll of toilet paper and no spare paper towels which we ran out of. Host quickly……

“Great place to stay with our little kids- bathtubs, beds, and we can walk right to water from back spot to skip rocks. Appreciate the little updates from our last stay- curtains in master bedroom and a few updates in kitchen equipment. awesome location! ”

“If you’re looking for a relaxing experience up the north shore, look no more! Truly, our family needed a place to congregate since most of us live out of state and it was very accommodating. It has all the bells and whistles in the kitchen from sharp fabulous knives to a Darth Vader toaster…lol. The enclosed porch has a game table to a sofa that faces Lake Superior. Every night we enjoyed chatting by the fire place with enough room for all 7 of us. They have views from every aspect of their……

“We had a great stay on the North Shore. Close to Grand Marais, as well as the Canadian Border, so choose your own adventure. Our boys fished off the lighthouse point in GM, and we did a hike up at Grand Portage on the border. Spent tons of time on the lakefront, and watched the younger kids climb all over everything while collecting more rocks to bring home. The absolute highlight, from a Minneapolis family, was the stargazing! No Northern Lights, but wow! What an amazing view of our corner of……

“Beautiful 20-acre Maple Forest. One of the best rustic cabins I have ever stayed in and I have traveled this area for 35+ years. Location unbelievable, good directions and description, enjoyed the sauna, view through large windows in cabin breathtaking. Only change I would make to listing: bring ice or other means to refrigerate food. listing didn't indicate this. No bathroom, outhouse only. I think listing said there is half bath.”
