"The hotels location was magnificent as were the amenities and employee’s but as the property is an older property things are a bit run down. Lower prices certainly help compensate for these deficiencies! I had a great stay!!!"
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Kailua-Kona by IHG
8/10 Good
"The location of the hotel is very good. Close to the main street and sites. The hotel room was a nice size. The towels were gray and dingy. The breakfast had a good variety but it was very hard to find a seat. There are not enough tables for everyone to sit. A lot of people took their breakfast to their rooms. There was no cold water offered at breakfast. You had to get it from the gym. The pool and hot tub were nice, although there were a few bugs in the pool. Parking was $15/night."

"The property was exactly as described, close to everything in town, and stocked with everything you could need. The Lanai was wonderful for meals and provides a wonderful view of the ocean. Our host Mary communicated very clearly and was quick to reply when we had questions. We had a wonderful trip and will definitely consider staying here again."
