“A great place to stay! The hotel combined two of the officer's quarters from Fort Seward to make a beautiful building. While the building is from the early 1900s, it is beautifully maintained. The owner is very helpful - he went so far as to dig out a socket wrench to help me with an errant piece of photo equipment. Would definitely stay here again. ”

The driveway is very steep with some very sharp turns. I had everything I owned in the back of my pickup, so with the added weight, it was problematic for me to maneuver the driveway. “At the White House was perfect for my brief stay in Skagway. It's within walking distance to "downtown" and all of the sights/restaurants/etc. Staff was wonderful and easy to work with. The room is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Although the building itself is old, all of the fixtures (electrical, plumbing, etc.) is updated. Highly recommended!”

“I stayed at Cape Fox Lodge about 6 or 7 years ago. This lodge was on the level of other premiere lodges in the northwest I love the location the views and the architectural style of the lodge. The room was clean. I was disappointed that the building and rooms are well overdue for a refresh. The menus in both restaurants were not as upscale as they were for my prior visit. The service was not on the same level either. The pictures in the museum had dogeared corners. The tram was broken and……
