“They have lots of parking and a shuttle service. The staff is pretty good and they try to keep the place clean. This is our third stay there and each time there are facility issues. The restaurant and pool have been closed off for years. This time one elevator was down and both rooms we had were without a working hair dryer. Missing window screens, safes that no longer function, and dripping faucets have become normal here. The fish freezers still work which is one of the reasons we stayed here……

“This hotel is newly renovated and is possibly the nicest hotel in Juneau. The new owners put a lot into this. Rooms are spacious. All counters, desks headboard were handmade with locally sources lumber. Beds are comfy. Nice little kitchenette in each room. I would definitely stay here again and you should too.”

“From check in to checkout our experience there was phenomenal. They were super receptive on the phone to answer questions about their shuttle service. We even had to do a very early morning shuttle at 3 AM for our flight and they accommodated that early time AND included offering us homemade breakfast burritos to take with us because we would be missing the continental breakfast. “There is absolutely nothing unique about this property whatsoever. There is no in-room coffee maker, no continental breakfast, very RARELY is the front desk staffed, the window coverings in the rooms are in dire need of replacing, housekeeping is by request only and then only if the message gets passed on. The only upside to the Baranof Lodge is that it is easy walking distance to downtown, the shops and restaurants. Oh, and the airport shuttle is appreciated. We paid a hefty amount for a……

Every morning before you would go out or every evening before you would come back, magnificent views would be waiting for you. What an enjoyable and relaxing experience from the comfort of your room! “This is the only hotel with a full kitchen and washer dryer. We really appreciated the dryer after coming in out of the rain. We didn't do a lot of cooking, but it was very convenient to have some breakfast foods in the room and great to have some snacks and a cold drink waiting for us at the end of the day, which we enjoyed by the whale sculpture.
