Outstanding!
Kenleith Cottage was absolutely beautiful! It is much larger than it appears in the pictures. The host provided a basket of basic goods in case we did not have any. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. Noreen has really done well thinking about the needs of the travelers who will be staying there. Noreen herself is very nice and easy to talk to. We would book again if we come back this way. Loved it!

Perfect Location!
Lovely, comfortable house right across from the Cromarty Firth. Invergordon is a nice little, friendly town to be based in and explore the Highlands. The beds in the house were wonderful—nice living room with comfortable sofas and large window to watch the cruise ships coming and going. All 3 bedrooms were a nice size, good showers. In short, we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Noreen!!

Nice house in great neighborhood
I liked this place because it was roomy but cozy. We stayed 3 nights and were able to explore all along the coast. Definitely a good location.

Great location for exploring the highlands
Kinleith Cottage was a wonderful location for our trip as we explored the area. The house was clean, spacious, and ideal for our group. There were so many thoughtful extras around the cottage, like books about the area and maps. Noreen was kind and so helpful. We would definitely stay at Kinleith Cottage when we are in the area again.

Small town getaway
A nice quite location with easy access to Inverness and points north. Homey feel with owner suppling crafts for purchase. Lovely small town on the firth within walking distance to several pubs and restaurants. Washer was fine however dryer in garage was a little finicky. Overall met our needs and requirements.

Had a wonderful stay
We had a wonderful time while staying at this property. This is a quite place,ideal for 2 families(sleeps up to 9-10 people). The location is ideal, located centrally to all the major tourist spots i.e Fort William,Loch Ness,Isle of Skye etc.

Exceptional vacation
We had a wonderful time. The home was much larger than expected and was cozy. The town was lovely. We loved Tucker’s Inn. The owner was incredibly helpful with recommendations of things to do and see. We had a problem with the dryer and the response time from reporting to fixing was ten minutes. Everything was terrific.

Großzügige Unterkunft für Familien
Das Objekt ist sehr geräumig und hat viel Platz. Alles Notwendige war vorhanden. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und reagieren auf kleinere Anfragen sofort. Haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Had to Clean Freezer etc before we used them
We had brought frozen dishes, I had to clean the freezer before I put our dishes in, every drawer had crumbs and one had melted ice cream. There were 2 bins under a table with no lids, I open the grill to make a meal to find the under side of the grill pan was very greasy. We were left a nice welcome pack including filter coffee unfortunately the filter machine had a filter with blue mould from a previous occupant. I phoned the owner and they offered a full refund however we had family arriving later that evening. After cleaning we decided to stay for a few days and managed to find another property from later in the week . We got a refund for the days we didn’t stay and the extra charged for additional cleaning and laundry for our extra guest was refunded.

In response to your review I would like to record that I was shaken and upset by the tone of your phone call. We have been hosting guests on three different platforms for six years and this is the first complaint we have ever had, especially regarding cleanliness. I would also point out that ‘our extra guest’, was in fact six extra. If you scroll down through our reviews you will find that without exception, they are all five stars, which I believe speaks louder than words!

It was a nice cottage to stay, very clean and tidy and the owner was very responsive when needed.
We really enjoyed the stay at Kinleith Cottage. It was a beautiful house facing the sea. The neighbourhood was very calm and quite. Perfect location for day trips to Northern Highlands. Owner Noreen was very helpful and was very responsive when needed. We look forward to come stay again in Kinleith.

Very nice house to stay. Noreen has kept almost every thing we need for family especially if you are into cooking such as Indian food. May be a pressure cooker is the only thing missing but we had our own!!! 😁 The only problem was the shower upstairs don't get hot water continuously may be it looses pressure, Noreen can install a pump!! Otherwise a very nice house to stay. The location is nice but not very near to Loch Ness. If weather is nice there is beautiful beach just in 20 minutes drive, its called Dornoch beach.

Glad you liked the house. We will look into the problem with the shower as we have never had a complaint before. Dornoch beach is beautiful but there are also 2 beautiful beaches within 15 minutes. Shandwick beach is lovely and sorry you missed the picturesque village of Portmahomack with its stunning beach.

This property was great and very comfortable. It was a great home away from home and we were able to do day trips easily. The owner is amazing to work with and very responsive when needed. We had a wonderful goody basket waiting for us when we arrived. We highly recommend this property.

Wonderful stay -'home away from home' experience at Kinleith Cottage.
Kinleith Cottage surpassed our expectations with regard to location, cleanliness, and genuinely felt as if it was 'home away from home'. The owner had furnished the cottage with great care and attention to detail which made our stay very comfortable with breathtaking views across Cromarty Firth from every room. We would highly recommend this property and plan to go back next year as well.

Beautiful house, warm hospitality
It is a beautiful house facing the sea. The house was very spacious and clean. We spent 4 nights here exploring the high land of Scotland. A perfect location for northern travel. The owner was very friendly and warm. We really enjoyed and love to come back.

Spacious and well equipped!
Noreen could not have been more helpful to us in helping in every way possible to provide what we needed for our stay with pur Autistic disabled daughter. Roomy bungalow with 2 further Dorma bedrooms as well as a downstairs bedroom. Lovely views.

Relaxing
A wonderfully equipped and spacious place to stay right across the beach. The town itself is not lively rather this is the perfect place to stay to relax and plan day trips across the Scottish highlands. It was absolutely perfect for us

All above expectations, gorgeous cottage
This spacious home is very comfortable and nicely located. From this cottage you can very well visit the highlands, but also Loch Ness, Cairngorm mountain and the Spey district are good to visit. The cottage is very well furnished, a complete kitchen and a good and warm welcome from the hostess. On arrival there was a nice welcome basket with regional dishes.

Geräumig mit allem was man braucht und netter Lage
Durchaus positiv überrascht. Sehr Geräumig, zwei Badezimmer. Große Schlafzimmer und Wohn- und Essbereich. Sauber und gemütlich. Ist zwar alles was älter, aber gut gepflegt. Küche leider ohne Abzug und die Ausstattung ein wenig zusammen geschustert. Bei dem Preis gerne wieder. Umgebung toll, gibt genug Dinge in der Umgebung, muss nicht immer die Westküste oder der Norden sein.

Exceeded expectations
This little beachside cottage is extremely affordable for what you receive. As a base from which you can travel it was absolutely perfect. Invergordon is a sleepy little town but has the town of Alness next door to explore. I highly recommend the Bombay Restaurant there. Appointments in the cottage were appropriate as well as being considerately stocked with some extra food items in case you forgot something. I gave this stay a full 5 Stars because it offered so much more than advertised.

Spacious Cottage, Great Location for Exploring Highlands
Cottage was large and spacious, the kitchen very well equipped. Noreen was very helpful and had everything we needed on hand. The beach is right across the street, calm and uncrowded. We stayed for two weeks and were able to explore a lot of the Highlands with easy day trips.

A fantastic location
Noreen was very accommodating. She kindly put many food items in the house. The 3 bedrooms are large and two have a single and double bed which is unusual. We will definitely stay again.

Lovely cottage, a real home from home.
What a beautiful short break we had in Inverness and this cottage was the perfect base for my family. The cottage has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay and Noreen the owner made sure we were well stocked with a little welcome basket of essentials when we arrived. Beautiful views from every bedroom and the cottage was warm and cosy - just the thing for Autumn nights. We had some family visit us for the day whilst we were there, which then made ten of us, and the living area was perfect for everyone to break off into groups (teenagers playing cards at the table, smaller kids watching a film and the grown ups in the kitchen cooking). It's a beautifull little cottage - a lovely base for exploring and we can't wait to return!

Nice house to go around HighLands in Scotland
Hello We went with friends and our children (family tourism) to the house of Noreen Kelman in Invergordon. The owner greeted us very politely and showed us the house and how to use all things from the house. The house is very nice, it was very clean, with sea views, in a very nice area to be able to move around the Highlands. We were very comfortable. So I recommend it

Cosy and clean cottage with amazing view
We enjoyed our stay in this cosy and clean cottage with amazing view over the sea. The bedrooms are large with good beds. The kitchen is well equipped, so it is easy to cook dinner for a family. The owner is most helpful and gives good advice about trips too. There are lots of both culture and nature to enjoy in the area. If we come back to the Scottish Highland, we would like to stay in this cottage again.

Fabulous house for our family
5 adults stayed one week in this 3 bed, 2 bath home. Plenty of space. Well stocked and clean. Perfect location for exploring Culloden, Ullapool, Dornoch and surrounding areas. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and the starter pack of tea, coffee, milk, cereal and biscuits was a great touch. View of beach and cruise ships out the front windows was an added bonus.Thank you Noreen. I can only hope we can return.

Best of our trip!
We stayed in Invergordon right in the middle of our trip. We had had a very bad experience with one of our accommodations and had to leave. The second accomodation was lovely, but Noreen's cottage in Saltburn was the niceset of all the places we stayed on our trip. Right across from the water, I felt comfortable allowing my 13-year old grandson to go walk along the water by himself. My son and his girlfriend enjoyed walking along the beach and the nature walk. Even though the road was just outside, it was nice and quiet inside. It was a great location for all the exploring we wanted to do. Thank you Noreen, for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic property!
This is one of the best properties that I've stayed in over the last few years. We absolutely loved the views and quietness. There are many highlights to the property but those that are top of mind are: 1. Spacious with wonderful views of the water from the living room and bedrooms - the house has space on the side for parking as well 2. Spotlessly maintained and very well furnished - comes with washer, dryer, and a dishwasher. The house also has a travel cot for babies 3. Has all the required amenities for a family stay - the kitchen had loaves of bread, a packet of cookies, fruits, sugar, coffee, and even milk in the fridge Noreen is very responsive and gracious. I would love to come back and stay here again. I'd recommend this property to other guests.

Sehr empfehlenswert
Es handelt sich von außen um ein schlichtes kleines Haus, direkt an der Straße mit Blick auf die Bohrinseln. Es klingt vielleicht komisch, wir haben den Ausblick jedoch genossen, der nachts beleuchtet sogar romantisch war. Von der Straße haben wir nachts nicht viel mitbekommen. Das Haus hat vier Schlafzimmer und einen größeren Raum mit einer offenen Küche mit Esstisch und Sitzecke. In jedem Stock ist ein Badezimmer. Die Wohnung war sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Noreen hat uns zur Begrüßung einige Lebensmittel für die ersten Stunden bereit gestellt ebenso wie frische Blumen auf den Tisch. In den Bädern waren Duschartikel. Wir waren begeistert, da wir sonst nur sterile Wohnungen gekannt haben, wo man noch nicht mal einen Krümel Salz findet. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten, es ist gut geeignet um sich die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung anzuschauen.

Perfect, perfect perfect! Roomy, clean, well stocked beautiful home
Had a great time seeing the Highlands with this as our base. House was well stocked (both kitchen and baths) and the welcome basket of goodies was perfect. Everything was clean and in working order. There was plenty of room for six adults and we enjoyed several dinners and evenings playing cards. Tucker's was excellent for a pint or two and there was lots of visitor information available at the house if you need suggestions. Beautiful views out all the windows and right across from the beach. Would highly recommend Noreen and the house and hope to be back in the future.

Sehr schönes zu Hause für den Urlaub
Von innen überraschend großes Haus (wirkt von außen kleiner als es ist), sauber und gemütlich. Vor dem Fenster direkt das Meer und in der Nähe Bohrinseln, die in der Nacht mit Beleuchtung echt cool ausschauen. Bushaltestelle sehr nahe um auch nach Inverness zu kommen, aber ein Auto ist ja eigentlich eh Pflicht um Schottland zu enddecken. Die Vermieteren ist sher freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war wür uns 5 ein Schöner Urlaub gewesen. Vielen Dank!

Spacious and with sea views
The cottage is very spacious with good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, which would be a real bonus for larger parties. Off road parking and views from the front rooms over the Cromarty Firth as far as the "Sutors" at the mouth of the Firth. The cottage was lovely and warm and the owners met me upon arrival to show me around. Unfortunately my stay was curtailed owing to ill health so I couldn't try the local amenities but the owners provided a list of attractions (one being the lack of midges!) and eating places which I hope to try on a further visit. There is some traffic on the road at the front of the cottage so small children would have to be supervised.
