"This is more of a motel than a hotel. Everything is rundown. The staff is mediocre when you can even find them. The pictures are very deceiving. I thought I was staying in a nice Marriott, but this was more like a Motel 6 at best."

"Nice single night stay. We arrived early and inquired whether we could check baggage or if any rooms were prepared, the staff was polite enough to explain neither option was capable however we could park while we left the property for the better part of the day. Everything was clean. Check in and out went smoothly. Location was extremely convenient. I used to work in the area and it was not the best, but this hotel has gone to lengths to improve the ambiance. They also provide a coupon for the Denny's restaurant next door. If you are seeking a luxurious stay in a resort I recommend looking somewhere else, but if you just want a good night's rest and feel safe for a couple days this joint excels. I didn't enjoy the pool, but it looked nice and maintained. "

"First and most importantly, I did not feel safe in the room. The door latch was missing, and the door itself did not properly secure. I have both photos and video documenting this issue. Due to this, I was unable to rest and had to physically barricade the door using furniture (a chair and a nightstand) to feel any sense of security. Additionally, the room had a strong cigar smell despite being booked as a non-smoking room, which made the environment very uncomfortable. There were also multiple maintenance issues: The ice machine on my floor was not working The hot tub was out of service Staff informed me there was no maintenance personnel available overnight When I contacted the front desk regarding the broken door and safety concern, I was told I would have to wait until 6:00 AM for assistance. This response was unacceptable given the seriousness of the issue. To make matters worse, there was a high-speed police chase that ended directly in front of the hotel during the night. Given that my room was not secure, this situation significantly increased my fear and anxiety and prevented me from sleeping at all."

"For the most part, we loved this property. We had a great time and would come back to this again! House and grounds were great and accurately described! Only negative feedback would be…-exterior grounds were mostly filthy and unkept-bee colonies around pool and hottub prevented full usage-washers were mostly not functional and/or had mildew smell. "

"Absolutely Estatic I booked my Motel California here! For being an older motel it is kept in good condition and the staff is friendly! Safety is important as I am a woman traveling alone and I felt safe and greeted and the man who ran the place made me feel comfortable and greeted me and made sure I had everything and even replaced the hairdryer right away! Super important for me:) It was a really great way to be at my conference and I didn’t worry about anything! I lived Arthur’s Cafe next door and went ever morning!"
