“Excellent place to stay overnight before we headed over to La Fortuna next morning. Edward picked us up from the airport, we used his rental car service and dropped us off to the airport. Breakfast was yummy and we can't thank Edward and Familia enough for their hospitality.”

“For reference we stayed in Atenas Costa Rica April 14th through April 19th. The house is gorgeous, and the view from the backyard is stunning. On two separate occasions toucans came to the tree in the backyard to feed on the berries. We also had 6 head of cows/ bulls wander up one morning while we enjoyed coffee on the back porch. The late afternoons did get warm, but we just cooled off in the pool. We did not see any rain while we were there. The nights do cool down, but was still a little……

“For our second week in Costa Rica, we chose this home in Atenas. The photos do not do it justice- it is such a wonderful and relaxing retreat. The private pool and outdoor shower allowed a connection no nature. Hammock and hanging chairs, lush landscaping, toucans…. Just too much to mention. We will return to this special place. Lizz did massages on the breezeway our last day to the sound of rain and the birds. Communication was excellent.”

“Amazing. The cabana is beautiful! It’s brand new and very comfortable. It has three walk out decks, and a one whole side of the cabana is huge windows that open to make the space open air. The views form the cancan are insane! We booked last minute, and I am sure it will be our favorite all the three paces we stay. The host was amazing! He even took us hiking up the river. The area is outstanding, with very few tourists Beautiful waterfalls, including the largest one is Costa Rica. Lots of great……

“This house has abundant charm. The location provided a pleasant, peaceful, quiet getaway. Close enough to town for convenience, but far enough away to feel safe and secure. Six year old grandson loved the pool. Great place to stay for rest and relaxation. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Jolie propriété avec superbe vue! Confortable pour 3 adultes mais a 4 quelqu'un doit dormir sur le sofa lit (qui n'est pas assez long pour un adulte mais parfait pour des enfants). Le jacuzzi est agréable (prévoir plusieurs heures pour le rechauffer) ainsi que le foyer électrique intérieur. Nous avons aimé notre séjour à cette endroit et y retournerons avec plaisir.”

“Villa Serenidad exceeded our expectations! It is a beautiful home and the view is wonderful. We really liked watching the cows and calves next door and meeting Iggy the iguana. The people of Atenas and all of Costa Rica are welcoming and so helpful with those who are not at all fluent in Spanish! I don't think we ever had even close to a bad meal either! We took advantage of having a meal cooked and delivered to us and it was delicious. Our friends joined us for a part of our stay and we heard……

“I have travelled around the world and I will say that this place was the most disgusting place I ever ever stayed. Nothing was as described. Service was nonexistent garbage was never taken away. Towels were never replaced. Sheets were the same ones for nine days I would not recommend this place to anyone.”

“The first impression of this very unique house was pure excitement. Loved the unusual layout and the perfect views from every angle. Lots of opportunities to see the Flora and Fauna that Costa Rica has to offer. Spent a lot of time on the Casita terrace to watch Motmot, Hummingbirds, Butterflies, and even a white faced monkey. As an alert to future residents: If you are dependent on reliable wi-fi, this is not a good location. Personally, I would also like to see a much more upscale pool,……

“I’m pretty sure I’ve fallen in love…both with the property and our wonderful hosts. Our expectations were exceeded throughout. Guida and John are so lovely and their property is just magnificent. Between the endless view and the magical well-manicured gardens and the comfortable accommodations we felt at home and at peace. A bonus was a platter of fresh fruit, bread and coffee waiting for us upon arrival. So thoughtful. I know that we will be coming back…hopefully very, very soon. I……
