“A brand new salt box house: it's bright, airy, got loads on windows, and fabulous ceilings (yes, ceilings: I'm a bit of architecture nerd). Visitors should be aware that a salt box design requires a steep staircase, and, yes, the staircase is steep. It's also extremely well lit, girded with rails, and designed with good deep steps with raised edges. I felt safe on it, even when my arthritis meant I had to walk sideways down the steps with both hands on the rail. The house itself is lovely and……

“To begin with, the residence is one of the best we've ever stayed in. The home is warm, charming and eclectic while being up to date with every convenience. We felt so welcomed by the towns people that we were able to join right in with the local activities - very fun, indeed. If you never leave Norman's Cove, there's plenty to do with several hiking trails and endless shores to wander. We found a jut of rock over the water just North of the cove where we could watch the whales come in at dinner……

“North River is stunning! The pictures cannot depict its beauty inside and out! Spacious enough for all 8 of us. Fully equipped with everything we needed. We made good use of the hot tub and pool. We even had an Eagle sitting on our vehicle! The views to the outdoors are beautiful all around! Would definitely stay here again, the next time we visit. ”

“This amazing property sits on one of the most ideal locations in all of charming Cupids, Newfoundland. The home has been meticulously restored, with modern amenities and furnishings. We literally saw whales from the great room windows every day during our stay! The location made it easy for us to explore the Avalon Peninsula and we never lacked for activities or destinations to fill our days. “We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The home was clean and artfully decorated with everything you need. The community was friendly and the scenery from the porch and the living room was spectacular. We even spotted a whale in the Bay. Our host was so hospitable and easy to communicate with. Darlene met all our needs, from coolers and lawn chairs for our day trips. She (and the town)even helped us locate a lost camera. We had an excellent time at Vista Del Mare! ”

“This was an absolute gem! The porch overlooking the bay was a great place for our morning coffee's ( whale sighting included!) And the fire pit was a a lovely way to end our evenings. It is in a excellent location, with reasonable drives to St. Johns, the Irish Loop and Trinity. It was very clean and comfortable for 3 adults and 1 child, and easily could have comfortably fit 2 more people. I would highly reccomend staying here! ”
