"Lovely fresh hotel & restaurant, staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and clean, only slight questionable was some staining on wall & bed base but otherwise the room was nice & clean & beds very comfy. Beds were very well made. No noise heard from outside at all, very quiet. We had dinner and breakfast in the red squirrel & found it all delicious, fairly priced & again the staff were so lovely, efficient and cheery. "Expectations were high with a score of 9.2 but I was disappointed. Room a bit pokey, very odd matress & bedding, terrible shower. Decor throughout a bit tired. Residents bar very limited and nothing on draught. Breakfast was ok. On the plus side, staff were all very nice, location is quiet with a nice park opposite and there's enough parking. I'd stay again if in Girvan but can't say I'd look forward to it."

"Lodge had everything we needed for perfect stay, great views. Managed to see the red squirrel & the Highland cows at the bottom of the drive. Kris was great, allowed us to check in earlier as we got an early boat. Everything spotless & tidy. Recommend to everyone if you need a place to stay"
