“After quickly booking about 11pm we arrived at nearly midnight. All doors inside were locked and kept ringing the contact number but not manned. There was clearly a door to the rooms but had not been sent a code to get in. My son went round the back and found an open door so we entered that way. We presumed that the only two rooms with a door open were ours! We left early in the morning and again not a single member of staff was to be seen. This issue raises great concern regarding the security……

“WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. We were checked in by Millie, who showed us to our room, which was amazing Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open, but they did do meat and cheese boards, which we shared one of each, and certainly were not disappointed by the taste and variety. The staff are friendly and attentive, without being over……

“I have stayed many times because it’s just so clean, hosts so very helpful & friendly, breakfasts super fresh & well cooked. Ample free parking and delightful rural location within very easy reach of Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. You are spoilt for choice regarding lovely restaurants/takeouts and sightseeing. It’s wonderful. I return time and time again.”

“really friendly and accommodating staff. our only issue with our stay was that owing to very hot weather we needed to sleep with the window open to allow cool air to come in off the river. this meant being woken up super early by traffic”
