My husband and I had a wonderful time at Skipper’s Retreat.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Skipper’s Retreat. We stayed from Friday, 18th to Friday, 25th October 2019. The property was well equipped and the contemporary design was up to our expectations. It was wonderful. Returning to the property after a long day walking, was the icing on the cake. The weather was pretty bad but this was offset by the wonderful facilities at the property. Tina and DA, couldn’t have been more hospitable to us. The little extra touches of fresh vegetables and seafood was very considerate. I would definitely recommend this property.

A truly excellent stay at the Skipper’s Retreat. The house was outstanding, so comfortable and well equipped. The owners Tina & Donald, really were so welcoming, friendly & helpful and provided us with beautiful seafood fresh from the boat. Location was superb as well and we look forward to another visit there. I highly recommend this wonderful retreat.

Quality accommodation in a very quiet scenic place.

Quality accommodation in a very quiet scenic place. If you want comfort and peace this is the place to stay. Tina and Donald have produced a luxury accommodation to be proud of. They have catered for your every need. There is wildlife in abundance from red deer roaming the sands when the tide is out to birds of prey all around. A wonderful place to stay. It takes a while to get there but when you do your stay will be rewarding and you won’t want to leave.

A beautifully presented ultra-modern home with everything one could possibly require for a great holiday. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. The kitchen was of gourmet standard, the bed was really comfortable, the steam room and spa bath were an added bonus.... Tina and DA are the loveliest couple and brought the most delicious seafood and home grown vegetables to us when available.

We are just back from our first time at Skipper's Retreat and already I'm looking at booking to go again! It is the perfect balance between luxury and the peaceful escape of being at Uist. What makes it stand out.....the warmth of Tina and DA, who greet you with a hug, have thought of every detail and who deliver the very freshest of seafood during your stay. The retreat is just that, a place to retreat to escape a busy life and find your bliss again. The spa (think a relaxing jacuzzi bath, steam room and rain shower) makes you feel pampered aswell as the essence of Harris smells and lotions, whilst the kitchen and lounge provide a place to eat well with lots of high end cutlery, gadgets and furniture. They have quite simply thought of everything and I can't wait to go back. Wishing you both every success with this new venture x
