“What a beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed the grounds and the ambiance of the main house. Our room was in the carriage house and it was cozy and nicely appointed with various musical instruments, reminiscent of the man for which this room was named. We got up and dressed and walked across the back garden path to the main house for breakfast. It was a purely pleasurable experience. I love that there is a kitchenette complete with dishes, bowls, utensils, toaster, microwave, sink, dishwasher and adequate sized refrigerator and freezer. That is helpful when traveling with a family. Mattresses we firm. Linens were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had more than enough shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. “Absolutely loved the old school feel of thing's from start to finish. As someone who travels a LOT for work and kids sports, this hotel has by far been my favorite. No overwhelmed and grumpy front desk people, quiet rooms (first time in years i didn't hear neighbors), working tvs comfortable beds, clean beddibg, nice spacious rooms, good breakfast (even with retro booth and tables 😍), and a clean pool (although we did miss the hot tub that was closed/unavailable- it was covered).
