This valley in northwest Wyoming is known for its world-class skiing and fly-fishing, an abundance of wildlife and spectacular mountain scenery.

Travellers come to Jackson Hole for outdoor adventures in beautiful landscapes. Enjoy skiing and hiking among rocky snowcapped peaks, pristine lakes and diverse wildlife that includes grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, wolves, elk, moose and antelope. Situated in the Northern Rocky Mountains, Jackson Hole refers to the greater valley area and is made up of the incorporated town of Jackson and the small communities of Wilson, Teton Village, Moran Junction, Moose and Kelly. Jackson Hole is all about the great outdoors and your activities here will be very much guided by the season in which you visit. In winter, enjoy the slopes at one of three internationally renowned ski resorts or glide through fresh powder on snow shoes. In mid-spring through early fall, the region becomes a destination for hikers. Trek through the many trails that wind through the spectacular Grand Tetons or walk from the Cache Creek trailhead just outside town. You could also take a whitewater rafting trip on the nearby Snake River or ride to the top of the nearby tablelands on horseback and enjoy panoramic views from a section of Lewis and Clark’s trail.Visit Jackson’s Town Square to check out the unique arches constructed from hundreds of elk antlers. In the summer months, watch a reenactment of an Old West shoot-out featuring bank robbers and show girls. Browse or buy souvenirs, gifts and fine art at galleries throughout the square.Take a short stroll around the corner to explore the Jackson Hole Museum. Learn about Native American culture and trace the steps of early pioneers through exhibits, artefacts and even objects and tools that belonged to the area’s first settlers. Don’t miss the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar where you can learn about the long and colourful history of one of the original buildings in town. First a doctor’s office and a later a bank, it was transformed into the Cowboy Bar in 1937. Sip your beer from a saddle bar stool or get out on the dance floor and move to country tunes.
