We arrived kind of late and really wanted some tea. Marguerita behind the front desk offered to boil us some in her own kitchen and then brought it out for us. Super sweet and thoughtful after a long drive. The next morning the kind Russian speaking owner gave us another kind gesture that he did NOT have to do. Great energy in this place, beautiful views and the room was romantic, clean and functional. We’ll be back!

Make sure to call ahead and ensure you’re not placed in room #9 which is a rear facing room (not facing the ocean) 8x8 janitors closet that they slapped a shower and sink into that they charge $200 a night for. Horrible experience, maid sure to stay out along bodega bay as long as we could and minimized our time staying in room #9.

We booked their most expensive room and they tried to put us in a terrible room, just threw up their hands and said Expedia messed up. Did not seem concerned in the least, nor surprised. We left because the room was nasty, they said we need to call Expedia for a refund, which of course Expedia denied, so they suck too.

Very nice stay. It is an older property so I was not sure what to expect but it appears to have been recently remodeled and has been well maintained. My room had 2 queen beds (I only needed one!). The lady at check-in and check-out was friendly. had made fresh coffee that I had as I was leaving and it was excellent. She had also set out a variety of muffins and biscuits and she said I could take as many as I wanted. I had dinner at their restaurant and it was very good. Only thing was that the floor in the shower was very slippery, but I just put a hand towel down on it and it was fine.

Front desk staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Even though I had done all of the pre-check work in advance, it took 15 minutes to check in. Every device that we had needed a special and different Wi-Fi code, the breakfast restaurant at the hotel doesn’t open until 8:30 AM, and there is really nothing to do within a 20 minute drive of the hotel surprisingly. The amenities and reviews online were not representative of what we found when we arrived. I would not The amenities and reviews online we’re not representative of what we found when we arrived. I would not recommend this hotel and there are now several nicer options. Just a few few minutes north in a few minutes south of it. There are trailers just outside all of the back windows, and this was really a motel quality property priced at $450 a night.

I don’t want to be mean. But this place is a bit of a beach side dump. The shower didn’t work properly and the toilet leaked water after flushing. The suv was about the same size as the entire room. But they had our key in an envelope next to checkin door for us at 1030 when we arrived and the room was clean and did work perfectly for what we needed. Sleep!!! It is a beautiful piece of land the hotel sits on. It’s a bit challenging to get to with winding mountain roads but I would stay here again if I was planning to be that far north of Jenner and that far south of eureka
