Awesome pool and location

We had an excellent 10 day stay at Kaanapali shores. The pools were perfect for kids and adults. The location was 5-10 min drive in either direction to our favorite beaches/snorkle spots (black rock and Kapalua bay). The room had great ac, stocked with beach chairs, cooler ect. The view from the room included the garden, pool and ocean view! The pics of the view don't do it justice. Staff were nice.

Fantastic spot!

We just returned from our trip to Maui and we stayed our entire 10 day stay at this unit in Ka'anapali Shores Resort. My husband, 8 year old, 17 year old and myself all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The unit covered all our needs and the in-unit washing machine/dryer was very convenient. The resort itself is beautiful as well and in a great location with a full grocery store directly across the street. We also saw turtles in the waters right off the beach at the resort! Would definitely stay here again the next time we travel to Maui!

Nice family spot

We enjoyed our stay. The resort was clean and friendly and the kids had fun at the pool. The unit was clean and very well stocked with household items you may need.

Perfect Location

This place was everything we needed. Very close to the beach, wonderful amenities, comfortable and safe. Check in process was a little bit confusing as the hotel front desk didn’t know anything about it since it was a private rental. We had to ask the valet where our room was located

Good spot

This is a great spot to be. There is access to the beach and pools and a grocery store across the street is really great! Space in the apartment was decent for a one bedroom.

Perfect Stay on Maui!

Our stay was great! The resort was nice. The pool and grounds were amazing to relax at. The resort restaurant and grill was really good also. Would recommend this to anyone looking to stay at a resort in North Maui!

Dream vacation

This is my 4th stay at Aston Kaanapali shores. It's a beautiful property, relaxing and everyone is friendly. This is our 1st time privately renting a condo at this property and it is the way to go! This unit had everything we needed. The view from our room 546 was Amazing!

Perfect for a family of 3

That view though! My husband, 8 year old son and I stayed here for 10 days over spring break and were very happy. Place is small but perfect, because if you are hanging out on your room, why are you even in Maui!? Not cramped though. The pools are EPIC and easy access to all. I would highly recommend this place.

Great condo and location

The condo, grounds, and location were great! No wars over chairs at the pool and the beach was lovely. The room was as described in the listing and in reviews. The internet was so bad. Only worked in the kitchen, none in bedroom or balcony and very spotty at pool. That’s our only complaint it was a really great stay!

Perfect Maui getaway

This property is the perfect place for a Maui getaway. It has all the features you’d need, like a small kitchen, shower, bedroom, living room, balcony. The room even comes with some beach chairs and coolers which was awesome to have to bring down to the beach which is super close. This property overlooks one of two pools, and it overlooks the more pretty pool. It has gated parking, on-site restaurant and bar, any many more things. The location is central to everything in Lahaina which made it awesome, and only a 10 min drive to really anything other than Hana/Pa’ai. Awesome place!

Okay stay for price

The location is great with lots of groceries, rentals and food trucks. We had to wash the blankets prior to use but it had everything you need for cooking and sleeping. Nice view of pool. You cannot use free amenities when booking through them because they are not part of the resort. The bell men cannot help you, they will not give you ice, but overall it was decent stay.

Great place!

We were notified a few days prior to our trip that we wouldn’t be staying in this exact unit, but a different one on the first floor. So this review is for the unit we stayed in (#144). Unit was beautiful, newer finished, and clean. The only annoyance was the construction happening next door, and workers walking in front of our patio all week. We should’ve said something, but didn’t. Otherwise, beautiful place!

Amenities!

View great! The unit could use some help..No room for error in supplies. One side toaster worked, light broken, bare essentials in supplies. Washing machine very noisy like on last leg. Never did get TV goivery difficult to operate, Basic on linen. ? Pool key not there. Mattress sagging-could use a new one!

Loved every moment!

The resort was nice and in a great location. A grocery store with decent prices (for Hawaii) right across the street and an ABC store within walking distance. Resort had nice pools and a small beach with great views of off-shore islands. The room itself was nice and provided anything we needed, including a washer and dryer (soap included). It had a decent view of the pool, and trees, with a small view of the ocean and Molokai in the distance. Has a full kitchen if you don’t feel like eating out. Also provided beach chairs, a beach umbrella, cooler, and a boogie board. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small but was fine for just two of us. Shower is also a little low if you’re tall. I would recommend staying here. It’s a nicer area than Lahaina which is only a short drive away. The management also checked in(via text) to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

..an average property

The listing photos are all very accurate, and it is indeed a well presented property.. however.. it's the underlying aspects that give it a 3 star rating.. 1. The noise level.. wholly cow! by 8am every morning there were 30+ screaming little kids in the pool just below our room! Their parents were oblivious to their screaming, and just sat about the lawn areas, drinks in hand, chatting with one another.. 2. My wife an I both have mold allergies, and we were there less than an hour when both of us started having symptoms. When we went out, the symptoms would cease. So we started looking around the room, and found the hide-a-bed the culprit. There was a huge amount of mold on the black mesh lining that supports the mattress. We always carry the "wipe down" sanitizers and went to work on the mesh and cleaned it the best we could, however mold, when left un-abated, gets into every nook and crany available to it.. we ended up not sitting on or near the sofa hide-a-bed, choosing to sit out on the lanai w/ the screaming kids, or just leaving the property for the entire day and only sleeping there at night.. 3. This property appears to be a jointly shared ownership situation between Aston Hotels and private VRBO owners. Once the Aston management/employee's find out that you are a VRBO tenant? they will just be rude, and ignore you. 1a. My wife and I were not allowed to rent or use the canopy lounges that are out on the ocean front. (We went there to try and escape the screaming kids) we were told that they were for the exclusive use of the "Aston Hotel Guest" and asked to vacate them.. 1b. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen, so naturally we bought food to fix our meals and 'eat in' .. about $300 worth of groceries. When I went into the lobby and just grabbed the luggage cart to haul the 6 bags of groceries up to the 5t floor, the staff refused to allow me to use "their" cart.. that's when I about lost it .. I just went off and let them know that "..at 62 years old, I wasn't incline to haul 6 heavy bags of groceries up to the 5th floor when there's a cart sitting right here! and if I'm here to use "their" pool .. "their" restaurant & bar ..etc. I'm damn well going to use "their" freikin cart!" ..that's when a security guard step around the corner and apologized, but said "Sir, you are not a "guest" of the resort.. for liability purposes, we can not allow any 'non-guest tenant' to use 'our' equipment.." the kids and the Aston staff were aweful
