Perfect and Relaxing stay

We really enjoyed the stay at this location. It had everything we needed. The ocean was directly in front of us and we saw whales at a distance. The pool and hot tub were very close, along with groceries, restaurants and walking paths. The bedroom is air conditioned and the breeze from the patio door cooled off the rest of the condo.

We loved our stay at the condo! It was clean, quiet, convenient and private. Loved our mornings on the lanai watching the ocean. Such a wonderful location! The only downside is that the carpets are a bit worn and needed a cleaning.

Beautiful view and comfortable condo.

Perfect 1BR to Explore Kauai!

Great little condo in a great location with beautiful sunrises! Halfway between Ha'ena State Park and Waimea Canyon, it was a great spot to see both sides of the island without moving mid trip. Good restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store very close. Note the AC is only on the bedroom and the beach is not for swimming.

Great location!

Great location, a little outdated appliances and no air conditioning but was perfect as we were not in the room very much. Right next to a great running trail and 45- hour to both north and south shore.

Close to Airport, Home base for Island

We liked this location because we wanted to be close to the airport and not too far from traveling any direction. We knew we wanted to see as much of the island as possible without having to drive 2 hours in one direction. We spent 3 days and we could go any direction in about 1.5 hours or less.

Nice sunrises from our deck and even nicer if we walked the bike bath! Condo was well furnished, and we appreciated having beach chairs, an umbrella, as well as a cooler. Concierge was very helpful in lining up activities.

Great Condo

Great condo, feel lucky we found it. As advertised it is corner end unit ocean front. Very clean fully stocked unit. We appriciated the extra supplies like dishwasher and laundry tabs as well as cleaning supplies so we could keep the kitchen clean. NO bugs whatsoever, took the rubbish out each day. The comfortable bed. We were happy there was the portable AC in the bedroom and used it at night.

This unit is well supplied and overlooks the pool and activity area which makes for good visiting. The grounds are very well kept. Best Location on Island, Incredible Views, and Value

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you have the opportunity to stay at this corner end unit (one of the closest to the ocean on Island) you will not be disappointed. Beautiful views, warm pool, and spa. And best part you can walk to the grocery store and take advantage of the beach trail to walk or bike into Kapaa town or even farther down for your morning or evening walks. It makes it very convenient being in the center of the island as trips to the north or south shore are quick and easy drives!

Kapaa shores rental

Updated kitchen and even a washer and dryer. Nice pool and spa and grounds lovely. Plenty of parking. Great location . Negatives would be no coffee, sugar or salt and pepper. Basics. Even shampoo and conditioner would be nice. Still a great stay. Thanks.

Our Garden Islands experience

This was the first time we had stayed in Kappa and the first time staying with Garden Island Properties and we were not disappointed and hope to return to the same condo we were in.The only problem is the traffic issue and the County has to do something to releive it. It took us 45 minutes to go 6 miles and a couple of occasions and that was before the construction started.Ver concerning if you have an emergency or are trying to reach the airport.

Winter stay

Location was convenient to restaurants, bike path and centrally located for traveling around island. There is no beach in front of this property but there is a great view of the ocean. Property management provided clear, ongoing information, communication. We enjoyed hiking all around the island. Recommend hiking boots in winter! Expect Mud. If it's raining north could be sunny south. Nice bike ride along the ocean for morning. Rented from Boss Frog's. Great lunch at the Fish Deli and Tiki's tacos in Kapaa. Nice dinner at Duke's.

Great Condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great, centrally-located place to stay on Kauai! The condo had everything we needed. The beach chairs were a really nice touch and much appreciated. We cooked several meals in the condo and found everything we needed - including basics like salt/pepper and olive oil. There is no a/c as is mentioned in the description but the location gets get cross-breezes with the screen doors and windows open. The pool and hot tub were nice, lounge chairs on the lawn are even nicer than those in the picture, and there were grills available to everyone. The condo is in a busy part of Kapa'a - easy walking to various stores and restaurants and easy access to the walking/bike path. Once you are in the condo and on the backside facing the ocean you don't hear all the business of the town on the other side. It was like getting the best of both worlds - central location but lulling ocean wave souns. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great Place--Would Stay Again

First of all, Garden Isle Properties is great to work with! They were friendly, quick to respond to all my questions and I ended up installing their app which made things even better! Mahalo! This unit is great! It’s quiet, clean and very comfortable. The breezes when the windows are open are wonderful! It also had all the necessities we needed for the week. Chose it for the A/C (so it would be quiet at night)(was worried about the roosters…but ended up enjoying them and te nlise wasn't an issue after all...this place is very quiet), the washer and dryer (it was our second week of vacation) and the recliner (because my husband needs one sometimes for his neck and back issues). This place far exceeded our expectations and I sure wish I could book it again now for next year! :) They also keep the grounds impeccably well…including the grills which we used a couple of times. The fact that it was oceanfront was the icing on the cake! We enjoyed the balcony so much…between drinking our coffee, eating meals, playing games and just enjoying the ocean. The miles long walking/bike path actually starts at this location and we took several memorable walks/bike rides on it. First time in Hawaii/Kauai and this is the perfect location to explore the whole island (whether we were heading north, west or south on any particular day) which we did all week and had an absolutely fabulous time…made memories that will last a lifetime! Mahalo!!!

Loved it! Great location, comfy apartment, overlooking the water

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I arrived at 3PM and it was very easy to get into the apartment (no key all you need is a code). This made it really easy to leave and come back to the apartment. The location is superb - right next to a beautiful running trail and across from two grocery stores and several food areas. We walked pretty much everywhere. The rental was outdated and had no air conditioning but that was fine as we did not spend too much time in the room. We did cook a few nights and they had all the utensils needed which made it very easy. The room is small but was fine for two people. They could use some black out curtains as the room would be light from the lights outside at night. The condo is right on the water and had a nice balcony. The washer/dryer came in handy after several days of hiking and getting muddy. They had several towels, cleaning supplies and dishwasher/laundry detergent available. I would recommend this place and stay here again when coming back to Kauai.

nice place

Property was nice. Our room was nice and a good size. Appeared clean at first but we did notice as we stayed there that some hard to reach areas had not be cleaned in quite some time. I was looking for an electrical outlet behind our bed and noticed a huge amount of dust built up behind there. Obviously had not been cleaned behind there for years. Similar dust under sofa when we pulled out the sofa bed. Other than that it was nice. It had everything we needed to cook and eat with. A nice balcony with a beautiful view of pool and ocean. It had no AC but a good breeze that helped out. One other thing to note for the location was it was good and bad. Good in that it was kind of a central location on the island. From there you could head to the north side (about 30 drive) or the south end (about 45 minute drive). There was shops close by. As far as beaches however, there were not a lot of options unless you went to either the north or southern areas of the island. Most beaches around the property including the one right at the property were rough with rocks only and not suitable for swimming. All in all a good place.
