「The Residence Stine - this one was difficult to judge. Yes it ticks all the boxes but it’s not a hotel per se - it’s a large house converted into a 9 room bed & breakfast. So lacks the full hotel services. HOWEVER, the hotel is located in a residential area 200m-300m up quite a steep incline on a narrow cobbled street. Elderly & infirm - BEWARE! Cars can’t come anywhere near the property so you are on your own dragging your suitcase(s) up & down so bear this in mind. However, having said...

「Location was convenient to walk to the old city stores and restaurants, however looking out of the window in the room was a junkyard, scrap metal and other debris The bathroom was fabulous with very modern fixtures. The electric lock system was wonderful not having a physical key was great 」

「Room was nice and clean….many places to eat, bakeries and a grocery store in the corner. It was near the main square. A personal welcome from the host was a great touch, we did not have to struggle with a lock box like most apartments.」

Take advantage of the taxi service provided in order to aboid getting lost in the winding alleys that make up the Old City. Its unlike anything youve seen in a good way. 「The location is perfect. It's very close to Split Old City and most of the places are in walkable distance. The host is very friendly and flexible. Room is clean, toilet is spacious with heating/warm floor. Bed is comfortable and clean.」

「We were so well taken care of during the 4 night stay. They proactively gave us travel advice to reach Split, and to ensure we could find the hotel in the Old City area, a porter with a golf cart was sent to the ferry pier to meet us . When we left, a porter led to the Uber spot. Everything seamless. The hotel itself is pretty, clean, safe and convenient.」
