  • Welcome to our lakefront bungalow in Port Douglas, NY, just a short distance from Schuyler Island!

    As locals of the Lake Champlain area with over 25 years of enjoying the lake, we finally realized our dream of owning a lake house. We are excited to share it with friends and travelers from near and far! We look forward to welcoming you and helping you explore the amazing adventures the Adirondacks offer. Feel free to contact us anytime during your stay for fun ideas—there’s so much to do just a short distance away!

    Our home features modern amenities, including:

    -USB outlet in the kitchen
    -Coffee maker (a must-have, we know!)
    -WiFi throughout the house
    -Google Chromecast for streaming Netflix, HBO, Sling, Hulu, and more
    -Hotel-quality showers

    -Comfy couches for cozy nights in
    -Stereo receiver with iPhone/iPad dock for your favorite music
    -Make the most of your stay with our water sports equipment:

    -Two kayaks
    -One paddle boat
    -Additional water sport gear
    -Explore the beauty of nearby 123-acre Schuyler Island or paddle over to Burlington, VT, which is just a quick hop across the pond. We’re also a 15-minute drive up the interstate to Plattsburgh, NY, and conveniently located near breathtaking Saranac Lake and the famous Olympic town of Lake Placid, next to Whiteface Mountain. Enjoy year-round activities like boating, hiking, skiing, and snowboarding in the Adirondacks. (Just a tip: bundle up from October-March!)

    Please Note: The ferry from Port Kent, NY to Burlington, VT has closed. However, there is a year-round ferry from Plattsburgh, NY to Burlington that takes about 1 to 1.5 hours from the house. For more information, check the ferry schedule here.

    Please be aware that our property features a very steep driveway and stairs to access the home. Unfortunately, this means the property is not handicap accessible. Spent the bulk of our time outside, enjoying the beautiful view and listening to the lake lap the shore. Property had just about everything one could need to make meals, relax and have a fun vacation. We’re hoping to stay again next summer.

Great quiet getaway

Lake House in the Springtime

The house was perfect for our family vacation. The view of the lake from the deck was so nice to see every morning, afternoon, and evening. There were plenty of outdoor chairs for us and our family.

I wish I could give more stars for this home. House was a perfect layout, view was spectacular, water was clear to the point where you could tell the color of the rocks from the porch. Family loved it and my dog couldn’t get enough of the water. I could have lived on that porch reading my book forever. Thinking of vacationing here? You may find me still on the porch reading. I will just give a slight warning that they are not kidding about the driveway. We have a Ram2500 and you could not see the driveway over the hood while turning into it. Turning around in it was not pleasant, but doable. Best vacation we have had in years and I cannot wait to go again.

Lake house 2023

We had a wonderful stay at the property and recharged with kayaking and swimming. Lake Champlain was very clean and relatively warm this week. Hopeful to return next year!

House is clean with amazing views. We rented a boat and took it to Burlington and around the lake. Brewery and winery near by. Quiet neighborhood. Loved it

Fall Getaway

Beautiful location, crashing waves to fall asleep to, beautiful sunrise and songbirds in the morning. The house warmed up quickly when the weather turned colder.

Lake breezes and unbeatable views! Comfortable, beachy, well equipped cabin right on the lake--great family (and Pet) get away! Not far from Plattsburgh, Ausable Chasm, and a Ferry ride to Burlington. The only thing that may be an issue for some is the stairs to and from the cabin! Not for the faint of heart! Had a great week--Thank you!!

Great Location

The house was great for 3 couples and you couldn't beat the location on the lake. If you go during the warm months, take fans for the 2 upstairs bedrooms. AC does not reach those rooms.

Great extended Family Lake Vacation

Joined our extended family that stayed at the camp next door. We were together and it was fantastic. Very nice home. Updated and clean. Plenty of space and windows. Thank you Kaitlin. See you next time.
