“"Charming" is an understatement! Everything about The Dabbling Duck and the town of North East is charming!! We stayed for a month during our son's college baseball season, and never wanted to leave. The house has been lovingly restored and furnished like a home rather than a beige and gray rental. Thoughtful touches were abundant, including a snack basket, cold drinks in the fridge, and even a supply of dog food. Everything was top-notch, from the cookware to the glassware to the bed and bath……

“Beautiful, private setting, but not far from the town of St. Michaels. House was very clean and beds were comfy. The kitchen was very well equipped for preparing meals. We really enjoyed relaxing in the screened in porch and on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the water. There was so much wildlife to view: bald eagles, herons, tree frogs, crabs…We had a great time! Thank you!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The Maghee House was bright, well appointed, up-to-date and very comfortable. We rented the home because it was on the water and had a nice dock to launch our kayaks. The area on Harris Creek was beautiful for kayaking. It would have been nice to have some empty cabinet space in the kitchen for our food items and some shelving in the primary bath for toiletries.We would definitely stay at the Maghee House again!”

“The use of recycled wood on the interior makes this place gorgeous on the inside. The location can’t be beat. I can’t give this a high rating because this is not for most Sr citizens or people that are physically challenged. You have to climb up a ladder to go to bed. This was not clear in the photos of the property. My wife ended up on a couch. Had they been more transparent about the layout, I probably would’ve stayed elsewhere.”
