I don't think I could have enough room to share how wonderful our 5 days were at Forse Mountain. We came in for my daughter's wedding in the Hill Country and true to their description it was a GREAT place to have all of the family under one roof. We so enjoyed the solitude of the surroundings, the hospitality of the owners, hiking the property, kayaking, fishing, a fire-pit all so needed in the midst of wedding prep hard working days. It may just become a family reunion spot for us!

Perfect getaway for family reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Forse Mountain Ranch. It surpassed our expectations- great accommodations with everything we needed for a group of 10. Large open rooms, wonderful outdoor spaces and excellent host.

Wonderful

This property was so wonderful for our family needing a place to stay while attending a wedding in the area. It’s peaceful with lots of wildlife, beautiful views, and amazing amenities. The hosts were so accommodating and We’d definitely stay here again!

Family getaway

We had such a great time at this beautiful property. The pictures do no justice, the house and the outside were just breathtaking. The host were so inviting we can't wait to go back with our family. There were snacks when we arrived that everyone enjoyed as well. The property owners went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. We can't wait to visit with them soon.

Fantastic Stay

The lodge was perfect for our family's vacation. It easily accommodated all eleven of us - from grandparents to children. From the professional kitchen to the fishing spots - there was something for everyone! Having a full bathroom with each bedroom was definitely a plus and waking up each morning to the deer everywhere was wonderful!

Family Thanksgiving

This is one of our favorite places to stay for family trips, and we have been to several. The house is simply amazing. We loved the outdoor fire pit and the deer watching was amazing. Spencer and Jess Forrest were the ultimate hosts. We loved the welcome tray of snacks. Sorry guys, we did a number on them. My only suggestion for future guests is to supply some wine glasses! Otherwise, the house has one of the best kitchen set up I have ever seen. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

HIDDEN GEM for LARGE GROUPS

I only gave 4 stars on "accuracy of listing" because this place is even better in person than it is on the listing. Forse Mountain Lodge is an ideal place to stay for large groups. We had a 10 person/5couple faith-based retreat where each couple had their own room and a full bathroom in their room. Our group felt that was "key" in feeling comfortable in a home all together. It has a massive kitchen and island with plenty of room to eat and socialize. We would have used the den area more, but we had such beautiful weather, we convened outside on the backyard stone porch under beautiful trees around a firepit with smores sticks provided by the owners. The property itself is 170 acres filled with tons of white-tailed deer and axis roaming freely and unafraid of humans. There are a number of stock tanks and walking the grounds is beautiful as it is surrounded by the canyons and hills of the area. The owners obviously take great pride in their place and have attention to detail to create a memorable stay. The Lodge is very clean and has been recently renovated to reflect a rustic yet modern feel. Our group was exceedingly impressed with this property that is ideal for any multi-family or friend group experience. We highly recommend the Forse Mountain Lodge for your next hill country get away!

This Lodge and property were beautiful. The hosts were incredible and so kind and accommodating. So much to do here, so much space and close to town, though you felt like you were on your own private ranch. We will absolutely be staying here again and couldn't be happier with having chosen this property for our stay.

Fantastic property

This was the most spectacular property I’ve stayed at and I’ve been in quite a few. It was amazing from the spacious house to the two ponds stocked with fish, the deer roaming around, the fire pit ready for s’mores and the porch filled with rocking chairs. These hosts have thought of everything and Tim kept checking on us and we felt very welcomed. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Each of the bedrooms has its own bath. The master bathroom has a shower that has multiple shower heads. If you’re wondering about the price, I can tell you it’s worth every penny. Even my husband said so and he’s tighter than bark on a tree! We all agreed it was a perfect weekend and we’ll be back.
