Weekend getaway

This was a me and hubby weekend. This place was awesome for that nice cozy with everything we need to have our home away from home. Thank you for all that we needed water coffee cream ice the room was super clean and all there that I needed. We will definitely be back If you want a good location pool all your essentials don’t look further than this place.

Cozy and very centrally located

Very happy with our choice, just a few blocks from Duval Street and walkable to all sights. Very quiet, nice room with fridge and Keurig coffee machine with plenty of pods in the room and more in the shared kitchen, also there is access to all other shared rooms like dinning, living room, sitting room etc. Also has parking, pool and ice maker.

We enjoyed our stay here! Check in and check out was super easy. The fruit infused iced water at check in was a nice touch. We liked the coffee, fresh fruit, and water bottle filling station that was available in the common areas. The room was a little small but worked for the two of us with a convenient mini fridge. The hotel is very clean and organized and we enjoyed having a pool with floats and lounge chairs. Parking was on a first come first serve basis and was a little tight but we didn’t stay out late so it worked out. We would highly recommend this place and would love to go back!

Small room in central location

We stayed in Cortez room for 4 nights. The room was very small and cramped. There was not even room on the floor to open two suitcases. But bathroom was even worse. The shower had low water pressure and unstable temperature, sink faucet was loose and door would not close properly. The property was otherwise lovely and looked well maintained. It's a large older house with nice common spaces and a multilevel courtyard around the pool. So would recommend choosing a different room to stay and hopefully owners can make some repairs or expand adjoining rooms to make 2 larger suites. The location is very central, about 10 min walk to Duval street. mostwalked uuberuberuber/lyfconvenient.

My room and the entire building was amazingly clean and comfortable. It was a bargain for the price. Just far enough from Duvall St. to be more than just a stroll, but not so far as to be a workout. I left two days early because of the inconsiderate, big mouth idiots that moved in next to me. I didn’t go to management simply because we shouldn’t have to go tattle on other adults. Management doesn’t have a wand to magically transform big mouth idiots into considerate, responsible human beings. I do have a gripe/suggestion on the parking problem. Both days I was there the construction people parked in the only handicap spot. The cleaning lady parked basically in the middle of the parking lot clogging up an already tight fit for cars. The cleaning and construction personnel should not be allowed to park in the parking lot. They should have to “fend for themselves” trying to find a spot on the street not the guests (who in essence are funding the construction and cleaning services). The parking grid is on the back of the parking pass inside the building so people have to park without knowing where to park, go inside and find the parking spot layout, then go back out and try to park correctly. If you could upload this parking layout and include it with the confirmation email guests would be able to park correctly as soon as they pull into the lot. Aside from parking issues great place!

My husband and I stayed in the Cortez for three nights, and it was super clean and cozy. There wasn’t a lot of extra space, but it was perfect for sleeping and relaxing since we spent most of our time sightseeing. The common home was adorable. We didn’t end up using it, but it would be great for a larger group. We’re giving the pool four stars—it was heated, which was nice, but it didn’t get much sun for lounging. All in all, it was a great stay!

We enjoyed having the kitchen at our disposal. The innkeepers even bought a new gas grill when we told them we were going fishing and wanted to grill our fish, which worked out perfectly. We caught enough fish that we had the entire complex join us for a fish dinner! The coffee in the rooms was a great addition and everything was very well maintained. I can't think of any down side other than a dishwasher would have been nice. We will return to Azul soon.

It was walking distance to everything we did but in a quieter area than Duval Street. The room is on the smaller side which is typical for Key West but there is plenty of outdoor space to spread out. The Keurig in the kitchen worked better than the one in our room. Water pressure and temperature in shower was not the greatest but everything else was great.
