The workers were all friendly. The room was like a closet. Shower stall was a closet. No hooks for the towels. No coffee in the room. No phone in the room. Decking around second floor was shabby and needed repair. The resort was near Main Street with restaurants walkable.

The king room next to/above pool was so comfortable. The only thing I would change are room darkening shades or blinds as the pool area lights stay on all night and light up the room. Breakfast was a nice added bonus to start the day!

Room had bugs in the bathroom and under the pillows couldn’t stay there. The rid lady at the desk said she couldn’t refund me only offer a different room. If one has bug they all Do! Do not recommend the shower is the size of a pizza box. The floor in the room is very un level enough to cause you to trip. The balcony is old and rotten very un level. Stairs are rickety. The room looks like something out of 70’s PCB to small tiny chairs are the only place to sit in the room that’s about 10’ square nothing like the photos on the website.

We stayed for one night so we didn't use the pool but it looked very nice. We had a beachfront room and the view was fabulous!! The room was spacious enough. The room amenities were a little sparse with only three cups and a very tiny bar of soap for both of us to share. Having said that it doesn't change our opinion about the room or hotel. The turtles and parrot were very cool. The restaurant was fine. Food was good. The included breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a unique property that is close to downtown Key West.

I Stayed from the 22 of April to the 27. Staff was very nice, had a new room on the 26-27th because I stayed an extra night. Let me just say the 2nd room I had was TINY and not as clean as it should have been. The Shower handle was stuck and when I went to see about having someone look at it the Concierge said that all maintenance had left and would not return till the next morning. Played around and finally got it working only to have NO hot water! Also the balcony you have to walk on to get to your upper room is less than acceptable.

Pool is immaculate! Very nice beach access but it is rocky at the water on the harbor. Not ideal for swimming. Hammocks and onsite parrots and turtles are cool. No microwave in the rooms or at the clubhouse, restaurant is decent but overpriced compared to other seafood nearby. Excursions onsite are also overpriced. Shop around town instead. No housekeeping for 2 days; had to request then when she arrived she knocked, waited a few seconds, then entered as we were trying to get to the door. She just left new bath towels, 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel for 2 people and only picked up old towels. No other cleaning during our stay. We also had to wait a while for beach towels because they ran out. Recommend somewhere else for this price. Over $300 a night in KW there are much nicer options.

The bathroom shower was so small, it ruined the entire experience for us. I couldn’t take a proper shower the entire week. I literally could not lift my arms up overhead without my elbows sticking out or hitting the wall, and the shower curtain stuck to your body the whole time since the shower was so small. And I was told this was an UPGRADE. If that’s the upgrade, what is the normal room like? There was no parking next to my room for guests due to it being a loading zone for jet skis, but it was apparently ok for workers to park there the entire time. So my view was an Ibis Bay truck - exactly what I wanted to look at on my vacation. The staff there all looked like they would rather be anywhere else. The breakfast was terrible. There was no hot food at all, and if you are a diabetic (as my husband is) your options were hard boiled eggs. Do you want to eat nothing but hard boiled eggs for breakfast every day for a week?? Overall I would NOT stay again. Oh and the Stoned Crab restaurant on site? What a joke! I paid $165 for two people for dinner and was not impressed at all. $40 for a Caesar salad with a grouper filet on top? The food was mediocre at best. I asked for towels and toilet paper and had to ask again for toilet paper 4 hours later. When I went to talk to management about it before we left, I was not treated well at all and was basically told too bad.

The most unique things about IBIS BAY BEACH RESORT are the rescued tortoise’ and parrots that live on the property. They seem very well taken care of and are a major part of the property! I really wanted to give this resort 5 stars, but just could not. I’ve listed the reasons why I did not below: Advertised as beach front HOWEVER, you cannot swim, dive, snorkel, or even slip your toes in the water. The “beachfront” consists of rocks so sharp, if you take the wrong step or slip and become cut open, it will not be good. Room cleaning staff: I asked for 4 extra pillows, towels, and a blanket. I even left a nice tip in the provided envelope on day 2 of my 6 night stay. I came back to my room, not only to find NO pillows, NO towels, NO blanket had been left behind, however the money I left as a tip was gladly taken. Mind you, this was after I waited at my room before the cleaning personnel were to enter so I can personally ask for the items….layer that evening, I called the front desk and asked for 4 pillows, a couple of bath towels, and a BLANKET. An employee arrived at my door within minutes, I received 2 pillows, 2 towels, and a BED SHEET. Pathway to rooms; Hubby and I tried to have a quiet moment on our well paid for “patio” area. It would have been sweet if other guests were not cutting across our paid area! The employees I’ve dealt with at the front desk were great, I think overall, the resort requires more of a personal touch.

This was a great resort for my bf, me and some friends to stay. Ubers were quick access, the location was great, The Stoned Crab was good, limited breakfast but good enough for us so that we could still have great lunches and dinners away from the resort while we were out and about. Would def come back! Loved the treat of the turtles at the resort too- wasn’t expecting that!

The room wasn't very clean sand on floor & one of the beds. Beach area outside of room had garbage on it. The check-in staff was rude & hard to understand, also not very cooperative in answering any questions. The breakfast was okay nothing special. On a up note the Stoned Crab restaurant had good food & chocolate martinis ! Also the room had a really small tv, hard to see while laying in bed.
