We have stayed in a lot of units in River Run and found this place last-minute. We were very pleasantly surprised at the high quality update of this 1 bdrm. unit. Although small, the unit has been tastefully furnished with the proper sized furniture. There is no dining room table but our family (2 adults and 1 teen) found it easy to eat at the 4 person breakfast bar. Many times small units are overfilled with large furniture but this one was just right. Big bedroom with king bed, nice sized sofa sleeper and the bathroom is great. The refrigerator is 3/4 size so keep that in mind if you are planning a lot of meals in the unit. The kitchen is fine for cooking but lacks much cabinet space (2 cabinets are locked for owner use which didn't help). There is adequate cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. for most meals - including croc pot, but no blender. Nice dual coffee machine (carafe and Keurig). The location of Arapahoe Lodge is outstanding. Close to gondola/lifts and right in the village. Perfect! Underground parking is awesome (height good for full size Yukon with ski rack on top). This would be a 5 star unit except we ran into a couple issues. First, we had no key cards upon check-in. They were not included in our packet (which is picked up at SkyRun lock box several blocks away). SkyRun staff were great when we called and they brought us some key cards within a few minutes. The key cards hanging in the unit on lanyards were not active so they are useless (we used the temp ones provided by SkyRun for our stay). That was discovered when we were locked-out of the building after skiing because we only had the regular unit keys with us. Luckily someone let us in the lobby and the unit itself has an electronic combo lock on it so we were able to get in. Secondly, the dishwasher was broken and would not drain. We called and maintenance came the same day but were unable to fix it. Hopefully it's been fixed since we left. Finally, the gas grill for the building did not work. Your key will access the facilities for neighboring buildings Buffalo and Dakota and there is a gas grill at Buffalo that works. Relatively small issues and we would highly recommend this unit for a small group (either parents with one teen, or two small children), any more than that and it would be too tight.
