"The room we had was great! I was traveling with my 20 year old daughter and two of her same age friends. The open area, with the kitchen island, and full kitchen were very convenient for us as we made breakfast in each day. The windows and the open area made it feel like there was a lot of space. The kitchen had everything - toaster, coffee pot, microwave, oven, pots and pans, cutlery, plates, cups, bowls. The staff were very helpful and on our last day, they held our bags for us at no charge as our check out time was 11:00 and our train did not leave until 5:30 pm. There are not a lot of amenities in the hotel, but it does have a rooftop restaurant and it does offer free wifi. It is within walking distance to Yonge street, and there is a mini-market directly across the street - which we did visit. It is also a short walk to coffee shops, A & W, and a very unique restaurant called Storm Crow Manor, where you can get drinks with glow in the dark ice cubes. I would stay here again, for sure. "

"I wish the Guest agent signed us a good higher room instead lower level 7 th floor this hotel has a 23 floors and we checked in Wednesday hotel has many rooms higher Floors. I get it they are trying to do and attract customers in a certain way. I will be thinking again twice to come here because is the room view experience. My msg for you if you have a good occupancy in the hotel give them the best experience people will come back. Are you trying to sell online lower price and when guest are comes sign them to a lowers rooms most likely they will not come back."

"I stayed 1 night for business travel and I was very impressed. It was a clean, quiet and well-appointed hotel in a great location. This was the ONLY hotel in the GTA that wasn't price gouging due to it being March Break. The hotel I usually stay at - in Markham raised their price by 200% with the excuse it is March Break. Based on this, I am going to stay here when I visit Toronto for work. "

"The hotel was kid-friendly, with lots of activities for March break. I purchased the package with parking and a food credit, and got $100 per day at the restaurant. The service and food at the restaurant was not great. The other issue is that we chose the hotel based on the pools, but the family pool was too busy so you could only reserve 2 spots per day (and had to get up at 6am to try and get a decent time). Finally, the rooms are not soundproofed at all, the windows are old and you hear every noise, the room was not clean (random stains on the floor, dusty). The floor at the family pool was also gross. Shout out to the amazing staff at the kids' activities though!"

"Our recent stay at the Fairmont Royal York fell well below expectations, especially for what was meant to be a special milestone with my family. Upon arrival, our room was not properly set up and was missing furniture. More concerning was a serious disturbance in the hallway overnight involving aggressive and profane behaviour that woke our family in a panic and required a call to security. It was unsettling and far from the experience we expected. While breakfast was offered after the initial issue, it did little to improve the stay. The overall experience remained disrupted and disappointing. What has been most frustrating, however, is the hotel’s response afterward. Despite multiple detailed follow-ups, I received repeated, nearly identical replies from different individuals, each offering the same generic 25% discount on a future stay. The back-and-forth felt impersonal and, at times, patronizing, rather than a genuine attempt to address the situation. A conditional discount requiring a return visit does not resolve what occurred. Overall, this experience has left a poor impression and diminished my confidence in the level of service expected from this property."
