Good sized room. Clean, warm. Nice variety for breakfast. Didn’t use any other facilities, nor restaurant as busy elsewhere.

This hotel is currently being totally refurbishment. The second floor rooms are extremely spacious and well presented. Comfortable bed. There was no fridge or ironing board in the room. These were brought up immediately by the super helpful staff

Really friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Large old building, our room was recently updated and was modernised nicely and spotlessly clean. It was very big but still warm with very large comfy bed and powerful shower. TV & Kettle in the room with normal sachets of tea/coffee etc Good breakfast offering kept warm and you could ask for GF bread, cereal and freshly made scrambled eggs. Nice coffee too. I liked the fact there seemed to be little waste as the offering wasn’t too broad. Free parking. Situated opposite a golf course. Would definitely stay again.

Room was great, recently unfurnished, some marks on bathroom floor, plaster maybe. Staff helpful but due to being refurbished and menu changes, not everything was gelled. Not sure it should have 4star status at the moment.

This hotel has been refurbished over the last couple of years resulting in beautiful spacious rooms. Food is excellent and breakfast is superb with a really lovely member of staff who is happy to help in anyway. Golf course is just across the way. Only negative is that everyone is waiting for the check in at 3pm and not before. Better and less a stressful for everyone if there was a staggered check-in form 2:45pm. However, really recommend this hotel and so handy to have concerts almost in-house.

Our room wasn’t great it was cold and very tired. TV didn’t work. Bathroom desperately needed upgraded ( which I believe it will be getting soon) but it wasn’t clean particularly. Receptionist was good provided a new tv although we had to tune it in and a heater for our room. Was glad I was only staying the one night. My friends had better rooms although I didn’t see them. But for what I paid I was disappointed.

Have biked for a day, nothing better than a cup of tea and a hot shower. There was no kettle until one was produced after an hour and the shower remained cold during all our stay! We also looked forward to a nice evening meal but owing to a large golfing party present it apparently was impossible to find a table for 2 and the nearest hotel / restaurant was closed due to a function. This necessitated a long walk to find an evening meal!
