"Everywhere clean, except the bathroom plughole could do with a good scrub, same problem as with our last stay but different room! I notice for our one night stay there was only one handtowel on this occasion - perhaps cutting back on washing, which is an ecological positive! Equally there was no hairdryer so this could be an economical diwn turn ..... or perhaps someone had just nicked it! Anyhow, a decent hotel, great location for us and wonderful staff."

"Rooms very ordinary in ugly building, food good, nowhere to sit comfortably by a fire after dinner. No drawing room, only the bar or a sofa in a hallway. There was a fireplace but no fire. Disappointing communal spaces. The staff friendly and the food was good."

"Property was clean however staff could have been more helpful. They wouldn’t let our group of 5 sit together at breakfast although there was an available table because they didn’t want to reset it for lunch. "

"What a great little cottage with tons of character. A really good conversion and fit out, tastefully done and to a high quality. Everything you could ask for is here and the owners have thought of everything you might need plus many extra touches and treats. Super quiet location, in walking distance of various shops, pubs etc, loads of walking options for our dog too. Plenty of recommendations from the owner for things to do and many in easy driving distances. Nice area to be in and a very relaxing break for us."

"Second time in this property and it's perfect for us. Very clean, lots of space and plenty of supplies like toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets. Host was great when the boiler had a fault, all sorted very quickly. Thank you! "

"lovely warm cottage, a home from home. Off road parking outside the cottage; 2 pubs walking distance in one direction and an ASDA convenience store in the other direction. Cottage had everything we needed, loved it."

"The house was one of the most well equipped that we have stayed in. Lots of books and games, huge television, really comfortable beds, and lots of cutlery etc. Quiet location and lovely neighbours - one of which helped us change our wheel after a flat tyre ."
