“The place was very nicely decorated. It was very relaxing. The decor in the house was nice and spacious. The only thing I did not like is that there were two dead roaches in the household upon arrival which makes me think that the house was not clean because how could you not see the dead roaches? ”

“Lorna was an amazing hostess! She was so helpful in working with me to make sure I was safe with my severe allergies and chemical sensitivities. And I was thanks to her help! Her place is beautiful and well equipped. Lorna was very friendly. We will be back in the Spring for our granddaughter 's wedding now that I know I have a safe and lovely place to stay! Thank you Lorna! I would give you 20 stars!!!”

“Kitchen was well stocked but refrid needs to be updated with ice maker. Kitchen cabinets and oven were not clean. Outside was poorly lit and there were no street lights which made entering the home at night difficult. ”

“This is an amazing apartment!! We decided to travel last minute and everything from the booking process to communication with the owner was easy. While we did not use all the Barrier Island amenities because it’s off season (and we own another home nearby), I can tell you they are convenient and great for families. We adore the sound side view and the sunsets were incredible. If you are looking for an alternative to renting a whole house, this is your best option! A note if you have any mobility……

“Great spot in Kitty Hawk. Close to 158 and many restaurants. There is a good amount of room and the owners are very accommodating. We stayed with our dog, two cats, turtle, and snake while our attic was being encapsulated. Nice neighborhood where we could walk the dog. Just a short stroll to see the sunrise.”
