  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great vacation house

Had a great experience here, neighborhood is quiet private beach is 4 houses down the town of duck is 5 minute bike ride. The pool was dirty qe didnt use it...needed to he skimmed and vaccumed but other than that the house was perfect

Property is nicely located near the beach and has the much needed pool as well. Layout of the house nicely accommodated three families for both group and private time. Property could use a little TLC but nothing that affected our stay.

Beautiful private beach only a 2 minute walk from the house.

We enjoyed this home for our girls trip celebrating some birthdays. It's a nice spacious house for a group. We had 8 adults and 2 babies. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Needs better outdoor furniture. Some of them were old and brittle. Porch deck needs to be redone. The high chair was not safe at all to use for our babies. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated that since we cooked most of our meals at the house. The grill is quite old and could be updated. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
