"Single rooms look nothing like in the pictures. I checked in to 'Melbourne hostel' but got put into 'Germany hostel'. They charge an extra fee for cleaning and for the key when you check in. Got to my room, TV and aircon doesn't work, no towel for the shower. If you have a little more money, I highly recommend paying slightly more for an actual budget hotel. You will thank yourself for it."

"I've stayed at Ashoka Hostel before. If you are a budget traveler, I can't recommend this place enough. I needed a cheap place to stay while getting my visa updated last year. "This is in a great location on Kowloon. It was a bit pricier than I wanted to pay for the facilities, but it worked out really well. Good location, shockingly comfortable bed, and incredibly welcoming staff!"

"It is cheap but the situation is very poor.There were two people sleeping at the upper bed and they were not tourists but hotel workers. The upper bed has many cracks that made me worry very much that they would fall upon me. Thus, I slept only a few hours per day."
