Summer vacation at Tahko

Overall a really great experience! We had our own apartment (no traditional hotel rooms) with 3 rooms(!) and also kitchen supplies for cooking. The only flaws that we discovered was that we couldn't find any recycle bins/containers for plastic (only paper) or metal recycling in our area. We were also hoping to get some fishing gear and hire a small boat at Tahko to go fishing, but we had to find it elsewhere. As Lomahillo fishing service was closed.

Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep in this Vuori apartment. A bit of a bad smell in the bathroom because nobody used the shower/sauna for a while. This went away after the first shower. I wish the kitchen was stocked with basics like salt and pepper. That would have helped.

Hyvä perusmajoitus.

Kokonaisuudessaan melko tyydyttävä majoitusratkaisu kahdelle hengelle. Tila ruoan laittoon oli hieman pieni. Parisängyssä oli liian pehmeät patjat ja sohva jo parhaat päivänsä nähnyt. Rauhallinen sijainti. Päivän lehti haettavissa alakerrasta oli kiva lisä. Häkkivarastot olisivat vaatineet oman lukon tai olisi voinut panttia vastaan lunastaa, mutta asiasta ei informoitu vastaanotossa.

Huoneisto oli todella siisti, moderni ja käytännöllinen. Ainoa kritiikki siitä, että meille luvattu parisänky oli käytännössä kaksi yhden hengen sänkyä vierekkäin sijoitettuna, joten meinasimme välillä tippua niiden väliin. Sauna oli ihana yllätys.

Yö asuntomessu-asunnossa

Hotellin nimessä sana spa hämää. Spa on aivan pieni (tylsä aikuisille) ja sen käyttäminen maksaa erikseen 15 euroa. Luulimme tulleemme spahan isolla S.llä ja petyimme aluksi pahasti näkemäämme ja kokemaamme. Sitten ymmärsimme että huoneistohotelli oli se juttu ! Kohtuulliseen hintaan saimme käyttöömme suuren lukaalin omalla saunalla, kahdella makuuhuoneella ja parvekkeella. täydellisesti varusteltu keittiö. Pesukone ja kuivauskaappi. Aivan mahtava kokemus jylhissä maisemissa. Olimme täysin myytyjä. Kokemus oli äärimmäisen rentouttava. Aivan kuin olisi yöpynyt asuntomessu- asunnossa.. Oli hienoa kun matkan puolivälissä pystyi pesemään ja kuivaamaan kaikki pyykit loppumatkaa silmällä pitäen. Rakennus jossa asuimme oli uusi ja raikas. Hyvä siivous. Ihana sauna. Paljon pyyhkeitä ja muita liinavaatteita käytettäväksi. Ihana rauha. Ystävälliset ihmiset. Näin että jotkut ajoivat mönkijällä golfkentälle. Kaikki oli ajateltu asiakkaan parasta ajatellen ( omat häkkikaapit laskettelijoille ja golfaajille) Itse olimme vain ohikulkumatkalla. Tuntui kuitenkin aivan kuin olisi ollut ulkomailla. Erinomainen hinta- laatusuhde, jos tulee isommalla porukalla. Suosittelen lämpimästi kokeilemaan Tahkoa! Kylpylä tai yöpymiseen sisältyvä aamupala ei ole se juttu vaan juuri tämä huoneistohotellin omaleimaisuus ja asunnon täydellinen varustelutaso joka ei jätä ketään kylmäksi.

Can't Wait to Return

I was in Finland on business near Kuopio, and the hotels were full in that area. So, I opted to stay at Tahko Spa, about 40 minutes north. I was glad I did. My wife and I felt like part of the community. The apartment was immaculate and the staff was incredible. In all of my travels to 70 countries, the Finns are amongst the most warm and hospitable.

Viittä vailla erinomainen

Asunnossa oli muutama hassu yksityiskohta, joilla se oli saatu tuntumaan ahtaammalta kuin olikaan. Pöytä, jonka jalat eivät ole pöytälevyn alla? Ehkäpä kivan näköinen, mutta asukkaiden varpaat ovat nyt mustelmilla kun pyötä ei osannut kiertää riittävän kaukaa. Televisiota ei myöskään ollut kiinnitetty seinälle vaan sen alla oli massiivinen kaappi, jonka tarkoitusta ihmettelimme. Hissi on mahdottoman hidas. Jos kovan hissin ovien sulkeutumista odotettuaan erehtyi painamaan "ovet"nappia, sulkeutuminen hidastui eikä nopeutunut niin kuin yleensä.

Hyvä huoneisto kolmelle

Meitä oli huoneistossa kolme henkilöä lyhyellä hiihtolomalla. Tähän tarkoitukseen golf-aparment huoneisto sopi mainiosti. Huoneen tiedoissa sanotaan, että huoneistoon voi majoittua viisi henkilöä. Silloin on kyllä jo varsin ahdasta. Itse huoneisto oli siisti ja valoisa. Netflix oli mukava lisä. Vastaanottohenkilökunnnan suhteen pari kommenttia: Varausvahvistuksessa sanottiin, että sisäänkirjautuminen alkaa klo 14. Olimme muutamaa minuuttia yli kahden paikalla, jolloin vastaanotosta todettiin, että huoneita ei ole vielä siivottu ja oikeastaan niiden on luvattu olevan valmiina vasta neljältä. Ymmärrän ongelman, mutta olisiko sitten syytä ilmoittaa, että sisäänkirjautuminen alkaa kello 16. No se huone kyllä järjestyi noin vartin odoituksen jälkeen. Vastaanottohenkilökunta ei pystynyt tulopäivänä vahvistamaan kuuluiko meille hintaan kylpylän käyttö. Tämä vahvistettiin vasta maanataina (kuului).
