"Very nice "

"Overall, not bad but we got disappointed a few times and our concerns were not addressed (the reason for loosing one star). First, I communicated with the host before renting that I will need a travel crib and they ensured us that there is one. When we got there, there was one very dirty travel crib that I didn't risk putting my baby in. If you are renting and planning to use the crib, make sure they replace or properly clean it. Also, 2 hand towels were dirty (make up stain and obvious that they were not washed) so I'm not sure if the rest of the towels were washed or not. In addition, the trash bin was broken and did not open properly. I addressed all these the first day and they told me that the maintenance team will be there to address all these issues. No one showed up and I was too busy with my kids to follow up. The house was overall clean. The backyard was not clean and neat like in the pictures. There was overgrown grass and vegetation everywhere that made it very hard to walk. My babies played on the swing set a little bit which was fun. I got good communication from the host but as I said, none of my concerns where addressed. We were told to start a wash of the towels on our way out which we did, so the next person going in will definitely have fresh and clean towels. "

"The house needs serious maintenance. Things like toilets that keep running, a wall fireplace that doesn't work correctly (which is your main source of heat), a garbage can with a missing wheel that is covered in spider webs (that needs moved to the curb for garbage pickup) are the major things. There are also minor things like paint touch-ups, replacing damaged cooking utensils, throwing away broken decor, and replacing batteries in clocks. We also had an issue during check-in but the owners were helpful in trying to resolve it to the best of their ability. "

"Host was very accommodating to any questions or needs that we had. Immediately answered the phone. The house was perfect for us! We had 9 people including a couple of young grandchildren and they had a blast from the fort in the bedroom to the backyard playground. "

"We had the best stay at this Monterey house. I was in town for work and tacked on a little girls trip, and it was the perfect blend of cozy and convenient. The location made everything easy, and the house itself was so comfortable and welcoming.Bonus points from me personally, as someone with severe migraine, there were no heavy scents or artificial fragrances in the home. That made such a difference and let me truly relax. We would absolutely stay here again."
