“The hotel was lovely, and Linda & Des were VERY welcoming and accommodating. They have a little “shop” where you can buy toiletries, wine, drinks, crisps, snacks etc which was very convenient. The breakfasts were AMAAAAZING - lots of options! The only down side was the water was not hot and the water pressure in the shower was low.”

“Great views from the bedroom towards the sea (apart from the infamous Shanklin lift shaft). Sun rise while lying in bed was fantastic to see. Staff were great and the food was good. Although some areas were a little worn and could do with a bit of TLC, it was very clean and tidy.”

“Booked this hotel as last minute, I come to the island often to visit my dad so this was first time staying somewhere different. Set up more like a b&b than an actual hotel though.
John the owner was lovely showed us to our room, and even made sure I knew the code to get back in through the main door. He made us breakfast each morning we were there too which was nice.
Only thing id say, is that there was no tea bags or coffee / cups to go with the kettle in the room so had no use being there.……

“Issues about the room
Open the door - strong musky smell even with the window open.
On arrival in the room I had to remove 5 spiders (each in different corners of the room) aswell as several cobwebs.
Carpet had a massive stain upon entering the room which probably added to the musky smell.
Room uninviting and very small for double. Décor was 1970's styled, looking incredibly dated.
Bath had large scattered spots of paint so you certainly wouldn't bath in it. Can’t shave as there’s no plug in……

“The staff were really lovely, easy check in and easy check out.
But, the bathroom had toothpaste marks all over the sink, glass shelf and mirror.
The temperature of the shower was either really hot or really cold, you couldn’t change it manually. The hair dryer in the room didn’t work at all. The big bathroom light didn’t work, only a small one above the mirror when you used the shower you could hardly see what you were doing.”
