This was a very specialized situation at the request of my wife. She wanted to pet and feed Giraffes. Well, I can say her expectations were more than met. The "Giraffeminium" is such an amazing experience. We literally slept in the same barn as the animals. But..... is was quiet and constructed in such a way not to disturb us or the animals. Ty (the owner) met us at the gate and personally escorted us to the rooms. He was uber responsive to all my questions and messages. It was our anniversary and he had a dozen red roses on the counter when we arrived. He also gifted us with champagne and wine at our arrival. The day ended with a fire.The next morning Ty gave us a multi-hour personal tour/safari of the 3700 acre ranch. First stop on the tour was to visit "Tank" the 6000Lb white Rhino. We fed Tank apples and pet his ears. Such a gentle giant. We then took the ranger around the entire grounds with Ty. He showed us the shooting range, both clay and long range rifle. We did a drive by of the Bee hives and all the pastures where we saw Wildebeest, several species of Antelope, White Bison, Nyala, Impala, Zebra and many others. It's obviously a low stress situation for the animals as all of them were successfully breeding and very healthy. When we finished with the ground tour we stopped by the lodge, pool and dining room. The accommodations at the lodge "spared no expense". Sitting atop a vista with grand 360 degrees views. We finished day with an amazing private dinner.
