“Literally in the middle of nowhere but if you like that sort of thing this is the place to be. We loved it for a few nights. House was great, road to get there was not but we have 4 wheel drive and our kids thought it was hilarious.”

“Great place to stay in Wick, literally a home away from home. Bread, butter, milk and biscuits was a pleasant surprise on arrival. Every amenity you could expect. The apartment was warm, comfortable; the shower piping hot and the wifi signal strong. Plenty of parking space and a short walk to bars and restaurants. Communication excellent and responsive throughout. Highly recommended.”

“Das haus liegt sehr ruhig auf einem Bauernhof. So richtige ländliche idylle kommt aufgrund des steinbruchs direkt neben dem bauernhof aber nicht auf. Die lage ist sehr isoliert und zum nächsten supermarkt ist es schon ein Stück. Dafür hat man die meiste Zeit seine ruhe. Das haus war sauber geputzt. Nur der staubsauger, um selber zwischendrin mal sauber zu machen roch sehr muffelig und der staubbeutel war voll. Der ofen und der herd funktionieren mit gas. Bei uns hat der zünder nicht……

The home is also within walking distance of groceries should individuals enjoy cooking. This was a great benefit to us! I would recommend this location to anyone wishing to visit the area! “Für uns wichtig ist die voll ausgestattete Küche inkl Messbecher und Waage. Genügend Geschirr und Gläser. Einzig eine neue Bratpfanne ist längst überfällig. Ausreichend Frottétücher, Decken und Kissen. Heizung funktioniert sehr gut. Eine Gummilippe haben wir für die Dusche hinterlassen, da sehr viel Wasser nicht abläuft und es schlecht austrocknet. Wir würden wieder kommen.”

“Lovely pod, very spacious, well stocked and the farmyard ‘neighbours’ are very entertaining!! Would definitely recommend. Oh, and the duck eggs are amazing!!”

“Everything was set on arrival. We had a nice stay in a very quiet neighbourhood. Maybe a bit to far if you would not have a car. The house could already do with an update. Especially the kitchen, or rather the equipment. The frying pan for example was really in a horrible state. Some people might like the electricity meter, but I found it a bit creepy, as if we were watched... Another item that clearly needs a change is the mattress. It was way to soft and we could feel the bottom of the bed.……

“The room was very well appointed, clean, spacious, quiet and cool (it was very warm during our stay). The staff was professional, pleasant and polite, making us feel very welcome. The one issue was the lack of a shower mat and the shower tray being too slippery, specially after you had soap everywhere.”
