“Staff was very helpful particularly Jerry in outside cafe. Grounds keeper did a beautiful job! Outdoor pool was amazing! Will be back to swim in in the winter. Loved the shops located in the main building. We stayed in Maple Glen which was lovely. I was disappointed my room was dark but now know to ask for a sunnier room when booking.”

“The Chambery Inn is in a great location to explore downtown Lee and attend shows at Tanglewood. Would recommend the Chambery to anyone coming to the Berkshires.”

“Property is sprawling and unwieldy. Couldn't find the main office for 10 minutes (went to 2 other buildings). Check-in - 4 people at the desk, but only 1 actually checking people in. Lower floor of "villa" smelled funny. Mildewy smell in tub. "Market" is actually a tiny area with some cold drinks, candy and "breakfast" - which is microwaved eggs and pancakes served by unhappy people. Coffee was instant and priced at $3.25 a cup. Pool area was chaotic and unsupervised. Roving bands of teenagers.……

“I am sorry to have to give the Quality Inn a poor rating. The property is fresh, clean, and well located for a visit to Tanglewood. However, the bed was probably the most uncomfortable my wife and I have ever experienced in a hotel. The mattress was hard, lumpy, and so thin that you could feel the bed structure under it. I did not mind paying a premium for a room convenient to Tanglewood on July 4, but a bad mattress spoiled what would otherwise have been a decent stay.”

“Our stay at The Inn was wonderful. Diane and staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful with great suggestions. Shopping and picnic supplies were spot on! Breakfast was delicious and more than plentiful. The pool was not available at this time, but what a beautiful setting. We’ll stay here again on our next trip to the Berkshires.”

“GFI in bathroom was inoperative. Room had no Smoke detector. Bathroom exhaust seemed to be blocked. Bathroom door does not close. Main entry door hits the floor. Overall conditions seemed to be shabby.”

“The pictures shown on your site are not representative of this motel. We pulled into the drive and turned around and left without even checking in. There was debris leaning on the building outside of several rooms, the landscaping and parking lot was over grown. You could not even see the pool from how overgrown the weeds and bushes are. If the outside is this unkempt there was little expectation of the condition of the rooms. So disappointing that the online photos are so deceptive.”

“We have stated this property before and loved it. Five years later, it’s not the same. I think new ownership took over and they’ve scaled it down to nothing in terms of service, staff, amenities. Basically there is no one behind the reservation desk all day, instead they’re in the kitchen making snack food, which is all the “restaurant “offers. Time and time again we saw people very discouraged because they could find nobody to help them with things like getting ice or paying for food items.……

“Convenient location, super clean and nicely decorated. We were in town to visit Tanglewood and didnt stay long enough to enjoy the area. Would definitely come back and find some time to enjoy the porch.”

“Unfortunately the power went out around 10 pm and never came back on by the time we left at 7 am. We tried reaching out to staff at the Red Lion, the parent company of the Little Lion. No one picked up the phone nor responded to our message. We had no power, no lights, no water, no A/C. Other than not being able to get a hold of staff our stay was very good.”
