Hilden Brewery

8.0/10 (2 reviews)
Founded in 1981, Hilden Brewery in Lisburn is the oldest independent brewery in Ireland. It is to be found in the grounds of Hilden House, a Georgian manor once home to the Barbour linen company. Here it was that Thomas Andrews, ill-fated designer of the Titanic (the ship left from Belfast, 15 minutes up the road), was married to a Barbour sister. To mark the regeneration of Belfast’s riverside Titanic Quarter, a special pale ale was commissioned from the brewery. Other prominent guests at the house have included William Wordsworth and Edward VIII.

"This hotel is not for anyone but we are low-maintenance individuals looking for a clean, affordable room to sleep in a central location- that’s exactly what we got! Super clean, right in the heart of Belfast, The room is 121 square feet (11 square meter) consisting of a bed and bathroom with minimal room for anything else. We liked it so much that we booked the same hotel in Dublin which is very consistent with Belfast location"

Clayton Hotel Belfast City

10/10 Excellent
"The Clayton Hotel staff were a pleasure to deal with and were very pleasant despite being busy. In spite of how busy they were with the Fleadh, they still made sure guests were taken care of. The breakfast items were replenished when the trays went low, warm plates available, tables cleared immediately so there was very little waiting time between covers. The hotel is in an ideal location with just a short walk to the city centre. Parking was just around the corner. Nice choice of mains for dinner and again prompt and friendly service. We will definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it."
