It was a special adventure and the staff tried to work with us to help us enjoy our visit after arriving very late at night for a one night /one day stay. We knew nothing about the inn or the island's history so it was a leap of faith and well worth it.”

Another big advantage is that the hotel is also just a short walk from the rental car center, making it easy to pick up a rental car the next morning and continue your trip. “Bug-infested rooms, indifferent staff, avoid at all costs We checked in on July 3rd and discovered bugs on the bed, on the walls, and in the bathroom — every surface in the room was infested. We were traveling with our dog and were genuinely frightened about exposing her to whatever this was. When we reported it to the front desk, the response was almost unbelievable: the attendant offered to “come up and make the bed,” as if this were a housekeeping inconvenience rather than an infestation.……
