Excellent value for money.

Excellent stay thank you. The room was spotless, very comfortable and tremendous value for money. The owner was very friendly. An ideal place to stop off on the way to/from Cairnryan, further north into Scotland or for longer stays to explore the beautiful Borders area.

Fantastic place to stay!

The stay was beautiful and relaxing, outside the window had beautiful rolling fields with plenty of cows in, dogs greeted us when we arrived Bie and Best, it was brilliant. Alison made us feel so welcome and relaxed and the breakfast was made to order and fantastic!

Good overnight stay

A small b&b outside Gretna Green. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Evening meals were not available but this was made very clear before the stay. Room was a good size and spotless. The photograph shown was not taken recently. Breakfast was excellent. A good overnight stay.

The Village Inn, place you want to return.

Hostess goes the extra mile, made us feel so welcome & booked our table at the local restaurant so we did not miss out. Our room was lovely, slept so well. Breakfast was perfect with lots of choice. We will be returning.

Pleasant, comfortable stay and lovely breakfast.

Stayed in room 3 with a nice view over the hills. Room is clean and comfortable and service nice and friendly. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. If you've not tried a "full scottish" then give it a try!

The property and the rooms are first class,Allison gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, she showed us around the room which was first class as was the breakfast which kept us going for the rest of the day and all this is due to hard work she puts into it, we would definitely go there again and would definitely recommend.

Perfectly comfortable night and great breakfast

Thank you to Alison for making my partner and I as well as our 2 dogs very welcome. The room (3) was a good size and very clean. Our breakfasts were excellent and filled us up all morning. We will be back if we are back in the area.

Very well run set up. Ive stayed here 3 times, rooms are newly lined out & furnished. Alison is a good cook. Quiet locality but near enough to junctions for motorway convenience. Secure parking area. Competetively priced.

Stayed here lots of times. Always welcomed with a friendly smile, and Alison goes above and beyond to make sure everyone, from returning and new guests have a comfortable stay. Always found the village inn home from home, relaxing and what a breakfast! The breakfast is the best ever with local fresh produce! What more does anyone want .... Clean, comfortable, peaceful and a great breakfast!

3 went to Scotland

3 of us went up for the weekend on a golfing trip we couldn't ask for anywhere better. The landlady made us very welcome. The room was nice comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. There is a bar as well for residents that made the night. Would definitely stay again

Great place to stay after a long drive - easy access to A74(M) but far enough away to avoid the road noise. Spotless en-suite room with tea coffee & Tunnocks teacake, yum. Wake-up to a relaxing view of green pastures and dairy herd. Welcoming host and superb Scottish breakfast. Highly recommended.
