London 1 Week Family Vacation
The apartment is in a phenomenal location, close to the tube, restaurants, shopping area, bus routes, and various London landmarks. When we first arrived the apartment completely smelled of cigarette smoke, we tried to clean and open windows, but that did not get rid of the smell. We contacted the property manager, their solution was to apologize for the smell, and told us to open a window, which was clearly not a good or acceptable solution. I have breathing problems and the smoke smell was really making our stay difficult. VRBO did nothing to resolve the situation, other than email the property manager, which I had already done, I plan on never using VRBO again because of this. That being said, on the 3rd day I contacted Adam, the owner, directly and he took care of the situation for us. I cannot say enough good things about how well Adam treated us, how much he went out of his way to resolve the smoke smell, and to help us make this a memorable family vacation. I wish I had contacted him sooner since the property manager was not telling him about the issues we were having. I would stay at one of Adam's apartments anytime in the future, and look forward to doing so again.
