"The toilet was really low, not stable and had to be plunged a lot. The air was not on when we came so the first night was very uncomfortable since it was a hot week. Once we got it cooled down the rest of the nights were fine. The lamps on the left side of the bed, 1 didn't work and the other had no bulb. Everything else was great. We love staying there."

"Property was clean and well maintained. Decor was comfortable, north woodsey and unique. Our pet was welcomed with a bed and treats. Nice to have complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. The little "pantry" was a nice touch, but the stock on hand was quite limited, especially when compared to the price list of stock items which are listed to generally be there."

"The location, views and restaurant really blew us away. There were a few challenges with the room. We were there for 4 nights, so we had a bit of gear with us for hiking, etc, and the room was really small. The bathroom was difficult to maneuver in, because there is no where to put anything. All on all, the pluses outweighed the minuses, but it’s difficult, from the Expedia listing, to tell exactly what room you are booking, and with what amenities. I recommend going on the Cascade Lodge website to see the options, ie cabins or lodge rooms, before you book."

"Love the property, the privacy, and the proximity to Grand Marais and the Cascade River State Park. The price seemed a tiny bit high for what we got, but we don’t have dogs. If we had dogs, the price would be more than worth it. Would stay again for sure!"

"Very comfortable, clean and well done accommodation. Very quiet and serene location with breathtaking kayaking. Easy check in. Great place to explore the gunflint trail! If you need peace and calm in your life, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!!!"

"This was our first family trip up to the boundary waters area and we had a blast! It was a little hard to find the cabin just due to the GPS/wifi cutting out, but once we got there and settled in, it was the perfect place to enjoy our summer vacation! The cabin itself was stocked with everything we needed for cooking, toiletries, etc... and we absolutely loved the dock and quiet lake view. My husband caught walleye, pike, and smallmouth bass while my daughter enjoyed canoeing and I indulged in some reading and sunbathing! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay and would definitely recommend it for families, couples, or fishing enthusiasts who want a quiet, relaxing lakeside experience. :)"

"We had a wonderful time. Appreciated the nice bathroom, comfortable bed and all the extra touches like a fully stocked kitchen and even a speaker (i had forgot mine!) The location was great - in the wilderness, but we could even walk to a cute coffee shop. We saw a fox on one of our walks there. And saw a moose right near the entrance to the cabin's road!"

"Fantastic views! The pictures on the listing really did not do justice to the view from the hot tub/deck and from inside. It was a great surprise to show up and have things be even better than we expected. The property itself was beautiful and well maintained, everything worked well and was clean. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back."

"It was a great place to stay. It was honestly the most child and toddler friendly place I have ever stayed, with lots of child safety considerations. I don’t have toddlers anymore but I noticed it and appreciated it. My kids loved the fire pit, foosball, and board games. It was beautiful watching the sunset over the lake in the evenings. Would stay there again for sure."
