We loved the proximity of the pool. beach! The bathroom need attention. Tub does not drain well.

Silver Sands has a wonderful family friendly atmosphere! Our unit was clean and well appointed. However, the bathroom could use some updating. We had a slow drain in the bathtub. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Perfect Spot

My 84 year old mother and I spent 4 days in Unit 244. It was a perfect spot for us. I was able to spend time at the beach and she was able to sit on the lanai and take in the beautiful landscaping, the children playing in the pool, and watch the sunset at the little TIKI hut at the edge of the property. I wish I had found this gem of a place earlier in my life--perfect for families with children of all ages as well as those of us who have "aged a bit!"

Great getaway location

Very clean, accommodating, comfortable for two. Nice small lanai porch for morning coffee or happy hour. Easy access to beautiful beach. First couple of days were very quiet, then a family with rather boisterous kids dominated the pool area and it got noisy...would likely have said something if we weren't on our last evening. Thought that this season would have been clear of this, but evidently this family thought it a good idea to take kids out of school for a vacation. That's the risk you take at a small, less expensive resort such as this.

Silver Sands on Longboat Key

Nice, clean, well-equipped facility exactly as pictured on line. Set back a bit from the road so no traffic noise. Beach was beautiful with endless walking and gorgeous sunsets. At times during the day the pool was pretty busy with some boisterous, poorly supervised kids. Evening & overnight quiet time was well respected. Wi-Fi was weak at times. Harry's Convenience store within walking distance for anything you forgot to get at the grocery store.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the experience was wonderful! The location was idyllic...the Gulf just a sidewalk away. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the service provided by Silver Sands staff. If we could change anything, it would be to have a updated mattress and softer pillows. The walls were also pretty thin between us and the neighbors, but we tried to keep our noise level low and most neighbors we had did the same. We would definitely return, but would hope for some updates on these issues.

Our room was Evan better than the pictures show, very spacious and the screened porch was great. The beach was right off the pool deck and so clean and beautiful. The pool was so nice and clean.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Originally we reserved At The Beach Resort but were moved here since a/c was not working at our unit. We stay at this place 1 every year.We were happy with the move when we arrived the place is beautiful & layout is what we are used to. HOWEVER the man at the front desk is rude, not friendly at check in & when we bumped into him walking to the beach he said make sure your quiet after 10pm,how RUDE!,then he spoke about social distancing at the beach & how neighbors could call the cops on us because of the large group under a tent,that he assumed we were with because they were Spanish like us. I told him all Spanish people here are not together, we are not with them & not our tent.The same day we checked in our toilet was not working properly,not enough pressure for it to flush.We could not get a hold of no one until the next day, that was horriblr & kept going to the office to let them know,but no one was at the desk when we would husband had to go 2 different was fixed the next day in the afternoon.We LOVE Martha from the other resort At The Beach,she is friendly & always available.This man is RUDE,NOT FRIENDLY,NOT AT THE DESK when you need service & APPARENTLY THINKS ALL SPANISH PEOPLE ARE TOGETHER.Will not stay there again ONLY because of him.

Quiet beach retreat

The property semi dated but lovely and beautifully maintained. Bathroom especially shower needs updating, glass doors difficult to open and close close proximity to beach and very well maintained pool area. Staff was very friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend and return to this property
