Communication with the hosts was good and they responded quickly to our questions during our stay. The on demand water system was great. The beds were comfortable. The day that we received our code for the door it came with the advice to keep the gate and front door locked for our safety. There was only 1 towel on each bed and more towels were in a bedroom closet. The closets had things in them and one closet had so much stuff stacked up on the floor it couldn't be used to hang clothes. The bathroom light in the main bedroom has a sensor in the bedroom and if you roll over in the night the bathroom light turns on. When taking a shower in that bathroom the light turns off and you have to step out of the shower into the bedroom to turn the light back on. Both bathrooms only had one shower door. There were two broken tables that couldn't be used. There were blankets and bathroom rugs in the dryer that should have been put on the bathroom floors. To use the front porch for visiting, we had to clean the furniture just to sit on it and had to sweep the porch as it was filthy. Extra supplies like toilet paper were in the kitchen in the back of a cupboard along with the “hidden” dishwasher tabs and paper towels. We had 6 people staying and only 5 coffee mugs. We read the past reviews and many noted the same issues; we thought that if issues were brought up in the past that they would have been dealt with but that was NOT the case. We left the house cleaner than it was.

I feel it is best to be honest in a review. Unfortunately at this rental we had problems from the beginning…a broken driveway gate, not enough towels, pet hair, and an unsafe bathroom. Pros: spacious with a great kitchen and comfortable beds, convenient location, easy check in, great communication with the host Cons: the en-suite bathroom is on a motion sensor light which is too bright in the middle of the night and goes off at inconvenient times when you’re in the shower. The showers in both bathrooms have deep tubs with no mats (I bought one due to my own fall) and only half doors on tracks. I had a very painful fall the first morning when my foot slid out and as I fell I grabbed the shower door which came off the rail and landed on my leg. Then as I was trying to get up the light went out. I am still black and blue from this experience. The other complaints were not enough towels for the number of guests, not enough glasses and 6 mugs but one cracked. My daughter complained of pet hair in the bedroom she used and the bath mats were dirty. We swapped them for others in the laundry room. The place needs some TLC…peeling wallpaper and paint, broken fencing, an old couch where you feel the springs when you sit. Also be careful to note the extra person charges and late check out penalties.

A bit noisy

Freeway goes right by and also there was construction going on across the street. The kitchen is very nice but minimally outfitted. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. Overall a good spot in a good central location.

Pasadena stay

Clean and spacious for our family. Kitchen well stocked , even though we didn’t cook . Our host Leon was very prompt and thought of our safety and comfort.

Going to game at the Rosebowl

As advertised, great location close to old town Pasadena and the Rose Bowl. It is next to the freeway as noted in the description. Very comfortable beds but the rest of the furniture needs to be replaced.

Pretty good stay with some issues

Very spacious home. Good location to Rose Bowl and Old Town. AC works well. TVs all over the house. Comfy beds. But, - Strange motion sensor for master bath that is on the outside of the bathroom and turns on every time there is motion in the room. Can't turn on or off from inside the bathroom. Light will go out while showering. Really strange. - Couch is super small and uncomfortable - Some ants - Somebody accessed the property while we were there. Owner says he is unaware. Not cool.

Fantastic stay in Pasadena, close to it all

We very much enjoyed our time here! Host was friendly and communicative, unit was nicely equipped, location was perfect for our trip to visit the Old Pasadena area and visit the Rose Bowl stadium. Road noise was no issue for us, despite being right next to the highway.

Sleepless in Burbank

The freeway is right next to the property. The lock to the front door did not work properly, we had to keep pushing until it finally displayed the numbers. There are only three drinking glasses. The kitchen is completely disorganized with dirty drawers. The sensor light in one of the bedrooms is facing the wrong way: When you enter the bedroom, the bathroom light turns on, and when you enter the bathroom the light goes off, so we could not use that bathroom at all.

Accommodating

Came to Pasadena for a funeral. Overnight accommodations were made available by property owner. Spacious and comfortable house with wifi and friendly neighbors. I was able to work remotely and go out to great cafes and restaurants nearby.

Great location with everything you need

Came here for a girls getaway and had a wonderful time. Ample space for everyone and easy 15 minute walk to the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Beds were comfortable and water pressure was great. Would stay again!

Don't be fooled

Address and check in instructions were not supplied until one day before arrival. Property access instructions were incorrect. Exterior was not well maintained, lawn over grown, garbage around the fence area. After 10 min in the property a knock in the door notified us that the water heater had been unplugged and we were asked if we had hot water. Bathtube drains backup so that by ebd of the shower you standing in two inches of water. A broken down car was being repaired in the street for 48 hrs and then they left all the trash. The stated 1/4 walk to old town was across the highway and probably not 100% safe after dark

Wonderful home

We had a seamless reservation process and check in. The house is exactly as pictured and described. Darling decorations. Plenty of space. Short drive to anything you need. There is a bit of noise from the freeway and no black out shades in the bedrooms so if you are a light sleeper that’s the only issue.

Walkable to Colorado

We stayed here for a UCLA game and it was perfect for that. The place is walkable to the shops and restaurants on Colorado (15 min), and was very cute inside. I will say the outside is a little sketchy--the top attic had an open window with a board sticking through it. The parking space was in the back, and the structure next to it (unclear if it was part of the house or someone else's garage) had people in and out of it while we were there. Overall, the house itself was nice and the location was great. My only other issue was surrounding a jacket we left there. We messaged the host immediately from the airport asking if he could look for it. It took a month to get it back, he refused to communicate directly with the friend who had left the item, and he charged us $20 ($11 in shipping, $9 in "labor" to mail it). Unclear why it was so labor intensive to put a shirt in the mail, most people would have just done the kind thing and mailed it--obviously with the expectation that we would pay for shipping.

Great house!

The house was great and the host was very responsive and checked in. Check-in process was very easy. Only complaint is it's right next to the highway, so there's a bit of noise. Otherwise, everything was great!

The place is very clean and quite charming. It is right next to a very noisy freeway though so it takes getting used to that. Yard could use an update. But overall the place inside was as described.

Solid Property

Other than the place looking amazing, 3 king beds and two spacious bathrooms. This rental had quality furniture. You know when places look nice, but you find out it's cheap furniture, not this place. Each room has a TV, kitchen is beautiful. Only negative is this is right next to a highway, but it's just noisy enough if you are silent and try to hear it.

Brand new inside, great location

Everything inside is brand spanking new. Very clean and tons of room. Location was convenient to friends we were visiting and colleges we were touring with our daughter. Right off the freeway but traffic was just white noise.
