“We loved the boats and enjoyed the lake every day even in early April. House layout was excellent for having your own space but still accommodating when we were all in the same room together.”

“We’ve been doing August family lake house vacations for six years and everyone agrees: “This was our best one yet!” The house was amazing. Very clean and well stocked with living items, such as plates/silverware, pots and pans, propane for grille, gas for boat, kayaks and paddle boards, and wood for fire pit. Also, the second large refrigerator/freezer was convenient and extremely valuable when you’ve got food for 12 people (8 adults, 4 kids). The location in a quiet area of the lake was……

“We had 15 family members ranging in age from 6 months to 84 years young. The house was clean and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The sand area and shallow water was perfect for the little ones! We had a blast and will definitely go back!”

“This is a nice property and well suited for a large group. It had everything we needed. Just keep in mind that the water access is not great from the yard because the lake is low but you can kayak or paddle board from the property, launch a boat from the neighborhood ramp, or go to the neighborhood beach area. The owners were very responsive and helpful!”

“The home was lovely. Well decorated, well stocked. There was no book or print outs stating crucial details,such as: when the trash was picked up and where to put it, where the emergency room was, or hospital. Where grocery store was. The home was not cleaned. Under couch was dirty, fridge was not cleaned and upstairs mirror in bathroom had make up on it. Lack of communication between maintenance and the person in charge. Fridge downstairs did not work and come to find out maintenance knew about……

“Had 15 of us ranging from 3 to 75. Tons of room to spread out, adventures for the kids, beautiful home and property, peaceful, quiet, had everything we could have wanted. Kitchen is well equipped, linens are clean and plentiful, beds are comfortable. Bobby was very easy to get a hold of and had everything taken care of before we even arrived.”

“I stayed at the Boxley while bicycle touring from Charlottesville to Richmond. The staff was amazing and accommodated my unusual arrival time, was flexible about storing my bike safely, helped me figure out dinner in the area, and arranging breakfast. I loved it!”

“We had a few issues at the beginning of our stay but Vacasa did help to resolve them. The home is in a perfect location and the little beach outside was perfect for my young family. The house has a number of aspects great for a young family (tableware and basement playroom) however I was surprised there was no high chair and no pack and play (not advertised so I brought mine but easy additions to increase interest in this property?). Kitchen incredibly well stocked which made my evenings stress……

“We loved our stay at this house. It was clean, and was comfortable for our family. The dock was great for fishing. The kayaks were nice to have. One big problem was the arcade game machine did not work like it did last year when we stayed here. I messaged the manager through VRBO but didn't hear back. Our kids were disappointed. Even though we encourage them not to play video games, they really loved it last year and we wanted to come back this year. If it is advertised on VRBO, then steps……

“Hosted a family reunion at this property, and was very pleased. Since we had toddlers, we were happy to notice the house is relatively baby-proof, on that there are almost no small or breakable items within reach of tiny hands. The kitchen is spacious for cooking, but could use a large-size frying pan. To go with the small and medium size pans that are stocked in the cupboard. Cleaning was spotless, and we felt right at home during our stay. I would stay again at this property, if I make a……

“Nothing to do in the area. Very boring. Lots of stains on the kitchen furniture and the throw pillows. The firepit and grilling area isn’t inviting at all. The cleanest part of the whole place was the area above the garage. House was very spacious and cute.”

“This home has all you need for a quiet lakeside retreat. The private boat launch is just a few minutes walk from the house and it is a short boat ride to get from the launch to the private dock. It is a quiet neighborhood and not too far from Lake Anna restaurants. We enjoyed sunning on the floating dock during the day and relaxing around the fire pit at night. The game room is in the garage across the driveway with lots of room to play. Kitchen/dining room/living room is open floor plan so……

“Our friends have been getting away once a year for the past 20 years and your home provided us with a relaxing and cozy home on the lake with beautiful views. There were some minor issues with breakers needing to be reset several times (primarily for the kitchen) and the breakers in the breaker box (behind the downstairs refrigerator) were not labeled. The ping pong paddles need replacing as well as light bulbs in the kitchen and bedrooms. The toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom is also……
