  • Each year in Macon, GA a festival bringing people in from surrounding area pops up for a week in early spring. The cherry blossom festival is a festival that most people have heard of, for I'm sure you have one near you. The one in Macon lasts a week an has carnival rides, strong man competitions, dog trick shows, mattress races, and many many more fun things to do all week. On the first Saturday of the festival a unique event happens that brings tens of thousands to just sit and watch. The balloon glow. Hot air balloons come in from all around and set up in the fields outside Macon state college. During the afternoon and into the evening you are able to pay $10 and go up for a short ride that will briefly give you the experience of a hot air balloon ride. But at night, that is when things light up. With a live band on stage these balloons light up the night sky as they rise and fall through the air. With over 20 balloons it is beautiful when they all go off at the same time. People cheer, horns blow, bands play, and everyone has a great time as these balloons shows each year.

Reasonably priced and Very Clean

Very reasonably priced. It seems the rooms were recently renovated. Very comfortable beds and clean sheets. Several single story buildings were you can easily park your vehicle in front of you room. In a quiet secluded area with Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again on future trips.

Clean Older Motel

You can tell both on the inside and the outside that it is an older facility, but the newly renovated rooms were clean and comfortable. Water pressure in shower was amazing. It was like getting a hydro-massage! All employees were friendly and helpful. Was disappointed that the pool was not open and no breakfast is served. The grounds could use a little sprucing up, but aren’t in too bad of shape. I would return here if the price is right again.

Terrible personnel to greet and check us in. Could not understand them. NO breakfast, although it advertised free breakfast. Did not even have coffee. Room was passable but nothing to bragging about. Our advice to other travelers - STAY AWAY!!!!

This place is dump. It's a run down motel in a very rough part of town. Ther place was dirty, the floor felt spongey and it smelled like mildew. The bathroom was dirty and falling apart. I was afraid my car would be broken into and we definitely saw prostitutes walking around nearby. We decided to eat the money and didn't even stay here. We found a much nicer hotel about 10 minutes away. I would avoid this place at all costs. I'm shocked anyone would ever choose to stay here.

Way out of date, dirty, and felt unsafe. The room smelled like stale smoke and mildew. Furniture broken, bedding not clean, shower filthy. Was woken up by a domestic altercation outside at 1am. The doorframe wasn’t sealed, so you could see the lights outside. The photos do not represent the property. Maybe one room, but certainly not our room. It’s was so gross, not sure how it stays open. Had to wash my hair twice to remove the smell from the bedding. I’ve never felt so duped before on a property!

Hotel was awful. Room was poorly maintained. Slept in my clothes on top of the bed as I was worried about bedbugs. Shady, strung out clientele hanging around outside the buildings/rooms all night long. Amenities were lacking (other than 1 towel and a broken fridge there was nothing). I would not recommend anyone stay at this location. Had we not checked in past the cancellation window, we would have found a different place. Sleeping at a rest stop in my car would have been safer/more comfortable. Would not recommend.
