“We came away from this spot so energized and pleased that it's hard to put it in writing. Evelyn was great helping us get ready for our stay. The house was immaculate, much cleaner than many hotels I've used. And it just has so much room. It's in the perfect spot - out of the way yet not too far away so you can get to a grocery store in a few minutes. Everyone said that they would like to come back for another stay.”

“made reservation june 2022, got check-in info august 1 and august 5th as i was packing car on the 5th the owner responded to my estimated arrival time text that the house was double booked and i had no place to stay.”

“I have hesitated to write this review because we did enjoy the property. First the many good things - space and layout were awesome. 2 master suites plus 3 other bedrooms. 5 baths. Also a kids room with games and hangout space. 2 living areas and large dining room Well stocked kitchen. Location was nice and outside space was beautiful. So what didn't go well. To the owner - you need to get an electrician into the house to check outlets and switches. Many did not appear to work and lights did not……

“We had a wonderful stay at the Bayou Chalet. We came with 2 Dads and our 2 sons for a 4 day ski race at Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush. The house was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and a great mud room for all of our gear. We were very close to both mountain bases and a short drive to Waitsfield. John the owner was super responsive and kept checking in to make sure we were having a good time. We all said that we loved the place and would definitely come back!”

“We wanted a cozy place to stay over Christmas, and we found it! The house is older, but so full of charm! Everything from check in to check out was a pleasant experience. The hosts were amazingly responsive, and the house included so many wonderful touches (including a S’mores basket and cookie cutters!) to make our family trip a fantastic experience! Early skiing at Sugarbush was less than a 25 minute drive, and was a very uncrowded and beautiful place for our two teens to learn to ski for the……

“Stayed here to access the Sugarbush ski area. Easy 10-15 minute drive with on-site parking at cabin. Super cute with fire wood provided for use in both the inside fire place and outside fire pit. Cabin abuts the river which makes a nice coffee spot. Easy access to hiking trails. Only things to consider is that beds require climbing a ladder to access so keep that in mind if people have mobility issues. Also no TV so bring your own device if you have something you would like to watch.”

“Location to Sugarbush was short drive to mountain and town. House was very comfortable and hot tub on river was really nice extra. I’m sure would be nice also in summer and fall also”
