“L’hôtel est situé dans la vieille ville, sur la mer, à proximité d’innombrables restaurants et à distance de marche des sites intéressants de la ville. Ce n’est pas l’hôtel le plus moderne mais c’est le mieux situé. Les installations sont très propres et confortables, le personnel est aimable et serviable, que ce soit le gérant M.de Sousa, les femmes de ménage, les préposés à la réception, les serveurs, les barmen, tous ont été d’une grande gentillesse. “Excellent Hotel. Very friendly staff. Very easy access to downtown. Took us 10 minutes to walk to downtown cable car site. If you need any supermarket items, the mall is right downstairs and there is a nice supermarket there also. There is filtered water on every floor in a machine.The breakfast is also excellent. Great coffee machine, selection of fruits and cheeses and breads, as well as numerous hot entrees. Also, very big plus was we rented a car and used the free parking in the downstairs……

“Please note that this review is for the Hotel Solar do Bom Jesus in Santa Cruz - I was asked to move to this hotel when Hotel Amparo requested that I move to their sister hotel due to short-notice issues with the hotel. This was fine for me and it was handled very well by both hotels.”

Emplacement parfait, à la limite de Funchal, accès très rapide à la voie rapide.
Parking privé de l’hôtel (13 places), s'il est plain, parking facile dans la rue, il y avait plain de places vides chaque jour.
Supérette à 50m (7-21h)
Arrêt bus (N 02) pour aller au centre ville à 100m
Plage de galets en contre bas (en revenant il faut monter 65m de denivelé). Difficile de rentrer dans la mer sans les chaussure de canyoning.……
